“Secluded but peaceful”
Reviewed 21 August 2013

Just off the highway, the place was easy enough to find. It is situated a little way from the town, but this does make it a peaceful sort of place, with the highway a little distance away.

The room was adequate, the hospitality was good and the wifi so so! The breakfast was advertised as 'gourmet' but fell well short of that.

All in all, it was a unmemorable stay at quite a high price.

We were very happy with the service, location and price. Very quiet, easy access to anywhere. Beautiful Veterans Park in front of hotel and such a great view every morning looking out towards the mountains. We couldn't have asked for a better area. Met a great group of people during the stay. You must attend the Cody Rodeo outside of Cody towards Yellowstone. It was a great time and lots of laughter with the rodeo clown. It was great watching bull riding, bronco riding and all events. Lasts about 2 hours.

Room Tip: South Side view is the best.

Booked a family suite and was happy with the size - 2 qns, 2 twins in a large, L-shaped room. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Reasonable prices given the cost of staying in Cody and whole place was in very good, clean condition. Hot tub area is like a sun room and you can watch the skies while soaking - nice at night. If it had a pool, it would've been perfect!

...and this one is no exception. I understand that they have to double prices whenever possible as there would be no business to speak of during the other seasons, but yikes! I think if one divides by half on any of the Cody hotels, you may be closer to reality. Given that, this hotel is locally operated, clean, neat, nice hot tub, good breakfast. Considering the other properties I have seen, knowing what they are charging, this one was fairly reasonable. It is a little dated, uses the old style bedspreads, etc. But the nice surprises include very soft towels, hard boiled eggs for breakfast, fridge and microwaves in the rooms, guest laundry, and parking right in front of your door, if you request ground floor. Given the overpricing circumstances, it's a nice place and we would come back.

Room Tip: We liked the ground floor room as it was quick and easy to move our luggage. Also, our room overlook...

First, we have never felt compelled to write a negative review of anywhere until this week. Based on online write ups made a rez for 2 nights, as part of our Western road trip. On arrival the desk person was incredibly rude, inarticulate, and of course kept claiming he could not find our reservation--although we gave him all the paperwork and confirmation numbers. He continued to be difficult when we requested a first floor room, because of physical issues, claiming they were all "taken". I might add the hotel is and was clearly essentially deserted--we were literally the only people there. Surprise--he put us in a room upstairs overlooking the industrial area. When talking to the same person later, he refused to provide any names on manager/owner/etc. and became VERY hostile. Given its location outside of town, the barely existent "breakfast", the attitude towards customers, I HIGHLY recommend you look elsewhere.

Nice size room. Comfy beds with a mini fridge. Great continental breakfast. Great views. I liked the tribute garden it has to American veterans. Pool area. I arrived pretty late and the service man was very sweet even though I had just interrupted his sleep. It was quiet even while fully booked.

We stayed three nights and felt "at home" . The location is away from the highway and is quiet. The breakfast room setup caused a bit of crowding waiting for waffle maker but good breakfast anyway - go early. Convenient to get to all Cody, WY has to offer including a "downtown herd" of deer. Watched doe nurse two fawns at once from stoplight! Loved this motel and this town!
