While this property was close to downtown, that was the only positive reason for staying here. The pillows were in desperate need of replacement, the bed was old. Our room was near the street and we heard the trucks and motorcycles all night. Out of 12 hotels that we stayed at this trip, this motel was the worst. The continental breakfast was an embarresment- boxed dry donuts, packaged oatmeal, and weak coffee, which looked like tea. For $100 a night, they could have done better.

Room Tip: Ask for a room off the road.

One queen bedroom was tiny & cramped. Had to set our suitcases on the floor & walk around them. Sink & mirror was right next to the door as you walked in. Hardly room to turn around in but it would be good for one person. Very Clean and bathroom had great shower-power. Bed was too soft. Friendly staff. Continental breakfast was donuts, breads & oatmeal packets plus beverages. Not a lot to offer @ $100/nite but still a deal for this area. Sept.2012

My husband and I stayed with the folks at Moose Creek for 5 consecutive days in the fall. We had a GREAT experience. Not only was the room adequate, confortable and reasonably priced, the staff was friendly and interested in making sure our stay was a good one. We will definitely stay again next time we're in town.

Room Tip: We were upstairs at the end of the hallway. It was quiet and very little traffic past the door.

This is a nice hotel conveniently located to downtown Cody. We enjoyed walking to town from our hotel. The rooms are nice, clean, and well-equipped. The only complaint we had was that the pillows were not good. They have a guest laundry which is always helpful. The office staff is friendly. The continental breakfast was fine. We had no problem with outside noise.

First, the location of the Moose Creek Lodge is so perfect that we didn't need to move the car out of the parking lot for 3 days. It's right on the main street so the shops and a choice of restaurants are just a couple blocks away. And in the other direction a couple blocks is the Buffalo Bill Historical Center, a MUST visit when in Cody. In addition, it is right across from a large city park where we also sat to write a few postcards one sunny afternoon after sightseeing.

The lodge itself is deceivingly compact, and was exceptionally quiet considering that they were full each of the 3 nights we were there. The front desk was also very helpful and friendly, and gave us a good recommendation for taking a one day trip into Yellowstone via tour van. There is a deli next door that does breakfast and lunch and baked goods so that was very handy, particularly since the breakfast provided at Moose was minimal. That's the only negative comment I could make about the lodge.......it was great.

Room Tip: We had a second floor room with a vaulted ceiling and timbers. Very spacious while having that great western, rustic feeling. Not all second floor rooms have that, so ask.
