“Turn Key Service To The Back Country”
Reviewed 1 August 2007

We had booked a five day fly fishing pack trip into the Yellowstone Wilderness area. Robin and Bob Berry met us at Cody airport, gave us their dining room in which to sort out our gear (they stored what we did not need for the packtrip), recommended an excellent restaurant (within walking distance), a comfortable night's sleep (en suite bath), a great breakfast and then drove us 2½ hours to the trailhead. On top of this, United Airways had lost our fishing rods, so Bob arranged rentals for us (Miracle worker - late on a Sunday!) and Robin dealt with the airport (rods turned too late up the next day)! At the end of our pack trip we were met at the trailhead (the pack train was late) and had a fascinating narrated drive back through the park. On our return to Cody, we were too late to book a restaurant, so Bob had pizzas delivered. As we were leaving for the Calgary Stampede the next morning, Robin laundered our clothes(some had been on our bodies for five days!) whilst we slept very well. Very early start the next morning to catch our flight (don't you love the TSA!) breakfast at the airport (again excellent and paid for by Robin's Nest) and off to Calgary whilst Robin returned the rental fly rods. What could have been a nightmare was a painless, seamless experience from two great people who want to please!

Bob and Robin have a great spot and do a superb job. Our first night they took us to a local Italian restaurant, along with another guest couple, and then to a Western music show. We felt like family from the get-go. The breakfasts were excellent and the accomodations were very good...even though our bath was "down the hall", it was very convenient and private...the other rooms had "en-suite" baths, so there was never a conflict. On the last day, we wanted to depart early, and Bob cooked an early (by over an hour from their normal time) scrambled eggs and sausage breakfast for us...a good example of the accomodating people that they are. Bob is extremely knowledgeable about Yellowstone National Park and leads tours there at certain times of the year...he also works on Park trails during the off season (winter).

We heartily recommend Robin's Nest B & B.

  • Liked — Terrific Host and Hostess
  • Disliked — We're early risers, and the breakfasts were normally later than we'd like in a perfect world.

What did we love best about Robin's Nest B&B? It's hard to decide! Let's see....there were fresh baked cookies in every room with a small vase of fresh wild flowers when we arrived. The rooms were the absolute CLEANEST of any place I have ever stayed before! Breakfast was awesome! The Berry's were excellent hosts...knew all about the area - just a wealth of knowledge (especially on Yellowstone!) They reviewed our travel itinerary with us and discussed what was actually in our best interest based on our time allowance. They shared all kinds of stories and information...a lovely couple! Unfortunately, our group was only able to stay one night on this trip, but we all plan on going back and staying longer real soon!!!! Thanks for a great time!

We loved staying at the Robin's Nest! Robin and Bob assisteded us with absolutely everything from picking us up at the airport, to giving us rides across town, to wonderful meals and pleasant conversation, and finally an amazing all day tour of Yellowstone. Staying with them meant that every minute of our short three day trip was well spent - they shared their love and knowledge of the area, and we felt as if we were guided beyong the tourist traps into the real heart of the Cody/Yellowstone experience. The accommodations were comfortable and clean and the location is perfect - quiet and centrally located. Thank you!

Robin's Nest is really a "home away from home". Their kindness
and hospitality was beyond expectation and just like visiting with
old friends.
Their recommendations on places to visit and/or eat out were
always 'good choices' and Bob's tour of Yellowstone is a must
for any newcomers to the West.
Thoroughly recommended!

Owners Robin and Bob just make the place! They are like visiting distant relatives! We have never felt so "at home" in a B&B. Bob gave us a 12 hour tour of Yellowstone. Highly recommend this even though I was really tired. We only had one day to see the Park and Old Faithful is just a small part of what is there. Bob is a wealth of information, history, etc. Well worth the price of the tour, picnic lunch thrown in also. They will reduce the room rates if you book tour.
Robin is so so nice and a great cook. They have two lovely lab dogs that you can (or if you don;t want to )enjoy! I wish they lived closer because I think we would be good friends. (from some of the other reviews, I think they would have a huge "friends" group!!
Cody itself is a very clean and friendly town. It is a bit overpriced so if you are looking for Black Gold jewelry, etc. and are traveling more into the South Dakota area wait until then. But a really nice town. Local cop even waived a friendly greeting at us as he sped by with blinking lights!
