Excellent breakfast: eggs over easy, sausage, biscuits, gravy..pure heaven. Prompt friendly service. 'Nuff said.

“Change in ownership. So Sad”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 April 2013

The Branding Iron was one of our favorite restaurant. It was a good place to go for Sunday Brunch. Authentic Ranch food. Fresh and tasty.

After having not been there for a while we went after church one Sunday. Change, most noticeably quality, freshness and variety. Also a cutback on service staff.

One of the owners or husband of the owner sat in the back room having coffee with friends while the restaurant filled. The hot buffet station was unmanned. I could said after the visit the it felt like the place changed owners and come to find out later, it had.

The salads, rolls, deserts tasted like they were made earlier in the week. Mash potatoes, instant ... Ugh.

I have been back once, during the week. Boasted chicken was the special. It appeared to me as having been Pre- cooked then cooked again. Ugly and dry with dark bones.

So sad when a good place goes bad so fast. Restaurant biz may look easy, but it is not.

“Good Hometown Food”

This is a regular hometown cafe. Good comfort food. We ate there when they were having a buffet and it was all fresh and good.
