We arrived by bicycle on the Tour de Wyoming. We were quickly greeted by the owner who'd reserved room 9 for us. Very nice, spacious room with 2 comfortable queen beds, small table and 2 chairs in the corner for eating. Nice flat screen TV, refrigerator in the room in which she'd even provided several ice cold beers, knowing we'd be tired and thirst after cycling 77 miles from Riverton in hot weather. Room opens up onto large semi-private deck that directly overlooks the Wind River with table and chairs to sit on and enjoy the view. This was one of the nicest places we stayed at during the 6 day tour, charming and very gracious host/owners.

Room Tip: Request room #9 if available! You can't go wrong!

We pulled in here because it was raining and the Super 8 we had stopped at was grungy, smelly and expensive. The owners created us, got us a very reasonably priced room and gave us our key. The room was small, very clean, and cozy. The amenities were excellent - a shower cap mending kit and vanity set along with the usual soap and shampoo. The view was amazing! Mountains on all sides and the river running behind the motel with a beautiful patio hung with lights ( and a BBQ) to relax on and watch the water. I would strongly recommend staying here!

We arrived after dark and check in was very easy and the owner's were very friendly. Dubois is a tiny town with limited choices of places to stay but the description of the deck overlooking the river sold me. That did not disappoint. It was gorgeous when morning cam and I enjoyed a cup of coffee overlooking the river and the hills behind the hotel. Our room wasn't lacking anything and was rustic, charming and had a western decor. The hotel grounds were well kept and very tidy.
There were some crumbs on the floor that housekeeping had missed and the place smelled a little too much like sweet carpet powder. Those are things that I didn't let ruin my stay or even tell the owner- more annoying than anything.
The owner gave us detailed directions in the morning to help us see the herd of bighorn sheep on Whiskey Mtn. We didn't see any sheep, but the drive past 3 lakes into the mountains was outstanding! That made our trip to Dubois, Wyoming very memorable!!

Room Tip: We were straight back from the driveway and other then the big bikes firing up in the morning, it wa...

the toilet is enclosed by 2 walls very close together the fit is very tight, I mean very tight know what I mean. the shower is no better very small, faucets are not very good. room 10 has a king bed not bad, but should have a full the room is small. no setting area with a comfortable chair. the couple that run the motel seem to be nice, had no interaction with them once we checked in. remember this is just a review of room #10.

Room Tip: do not stay in room #10

For the money, has to be the best place to stay in Dubois---after relaxing on the outside decks overlooking the Wind River, we retreated to our spotlessly clean room with beautiful knotty pine walls and tasteful western decor. Beds/linens were comfortable and provided a good night's sleep. We enjoyed chatting with the owners ---The Trail's End reflects their extreme pride of ownership.

We stayed here one night on our trip from Yellowstone to Casper, I had called 4 different places and they had the best price. We were very pleased with our stay the couple that owns it was very helpful to us for everything we ask for. They were very friendly too. The lady even got bug spray for us when we were sitting on deck and she was very busy running around cleaning things. The room was very clean(spotless) had a Rustic look and the bathroom was very clean also had a microwave, frig and dish tv. It sits on the Wind River and has 2 decks in back along river, we sat out on the deck in the evening, very peaceful. We were traveling for 21 days and this is the best and cleanest motel we stayed at. I would recommend anyone needing a place to stay in Dubois to stay here.

Spent 2 weeks there for work, the rooms had everything you needed microwave, refrigerator, and were spotless. The staff there makes every effort to make your stay a memorable one, if you need something or just need a question answered, just go to the front desk and they will take care of it for you! .Great place to stay

Room Tip: If you can, get one of the rooms on the Wind river! Great patio area overlooking the river!
