LARGE rooms!!! Probably the biggest outside of a suite I have ever stayed in. The price was LOW...$58!! :) Beautiful wood plank vaulted ceilings. Pet friendly. Very friendly staff. My only critique would be the breakfast...it was all donuts, bagels, etc, which is FINE, however, several of the items were stale and a bit hard/dried out. Milk & yogurt were fresh. Coffee was good. Overall a great stay and we would gladly visit again.

this motel has the largest rooms I have ever stayed in. it is also one of the cleanest and quietest places I have ever stayed. the desk staff and managers are very helpful people! parking is outside your door, plus there is a door to the hallway which is unbelievably wide, could drive a truck through it.

Room Tip: internet is available in the front lobby or rooms closer to the front. the rooms at the far end do...

The young couple who own the Prairie Inn Motel have done a wonderful job with this really neat retro motor inn. The very large room for our overnight stay was comfortable and clean and we really liked the all-wood ceiling, which helped to give the room a lodge-type feel.

At Prairie Inn you drive right up and park outside your room, and then there is a second secure doorway inside the room that leads out into the incredibly wide (and spotless) hallway of the motel....I swear you could drive a Mac truck down that hall!

The room was a tremendous value - and most of the other guests appeared to us to likely be fishermen coming to enjoy Bear Creek State Park just up the road or some other local fishing spot.

The continental breakfast was not as extensive as at chain hotels but was still nice and it seemed obvious that the owners care about making it a good experience. The wifi worked great.

We liked the Prairie Inn and would definitely stay again.

Not sure how this motel could get such a good rating, but it's really a very basic motel. It was clean, smelled strongly of PineSol or some such disinfectant, plus some other unpleasant odors coming from the pillows, and had probably the worst-smelling hotel soap I've ever come across. The remote controller for the CRT TV didn't match the brand, so had to be swapped out, a very minor issue, but that, with a hot water tap that couldn't be opened and a missing faucet aerator, plus a stained bedspread, made for just one more annoyance that would sure keep me from giving anything over 3 stars, and that many only because the room was as clean as the management could get it and they were also very pleasant folks. I may be disillusioned, but I think for the same dollars one could find a much nicer room.

This is a great place to stay especially if you are into mid century. People were friendly and the bed was comfortable. Love the inside hallway and the breakfast area architecture. The cafe next door looked amazing, but we didn't have time to eat there.

We had no idea where to stay, on our way from Jackson Hole, so we broke the journey at Evanston. Am I glad we found The Prairie Inn. CJ, the manager was extremely helpful. The word 'motel' doesn't do it justice. After walking in to a large, comfy lobby, I have never seen such huge corridors leading to large, spotlessly clean rooms. The breakfast area is large with very comfortable chairs and it even has a huge TV. Should you need a laundry room, it's nearly as large as the bedrooms, amazing. The only thing missing is a coffee making machine in the room. Very strange for the US. But don't worry, just across from the Inn is the most amazing diner, called Jody's. Excellent value, gigantic portions and all fresh. So you can't go wrong.

On a trip with 9 guys on 9 motorcycles, we needed 6 rooms. Reservations were made months in advance. This place takes you back to the 50's or 60's. You will never see a layout like this in modern times. The rooms are huge! For our needs, it was just fine although some people might be put off by the lack of modern stuff. We liked it. Very clean, quiet, and reasonable price gives this a big thumbs up.
