“Inexpensive Stay”

We stayed here with the AARP rate for considerable savings from the other local hotels. The desk staff was very friendly. The shower was excellent with a WaterPik shower Head. The bed was more firm then I care for. The pillows were very comfortable. The WiFi access worked fine. The continental breakfast was average.

We had tried Holiday Inn Express but they were booked solid, so we ended up across the street at Days Inn. Reception was friendly. The room was very clean and had a great shower, but the towels were threadbare. The pillows were like rocks, but the bed was comfortable. One big problem was there were no open outlets in the bedroom. You had to disconnect lights of use the bathroom outlets. There was a desk but no outlet to go with it. There was a five inch rip in the rug just past the door. The breakfast was satisfactory with scrambled eggs and mini muffins, bread and cereal.

Nice clean rooms, friendly staff and a good breakfast. Nothing fancy but perfect for what we were looking for.

Affordable rates for a family overnight stay... Very accommodating / hospitable staff. The bathroom drain was not working properly.

Room Tip: They allow pets in the hotel at an additional rate.

Best thing about this place was the friendly staff. Otherwise, this is a perfect place for a group of hunters or someone looking for a relatively cheap place for the night with no frills and dis-concern for general sanitation. Beds and rooms are so-so (hard stiff bed), definitely dated. Lots of stains on the blankets, floor, towels, and walls. Walking barefoot in my room I stepped on lumps of stuff in random places under the carpet, some soft and some hard/sharp.

The entire place had a very dark, dank feel to it and appeared to be a bad need of repair. Bathroom was fairly awful with rust on the handle in the shower, previous tenants residue on the floor (hair, mud, fingernails), and some kind of sanitation chemical buildup in the sink and on the faucet; definitely do not drink the tap water, had all kinds of stuff floating in it and had a rust flavor.

The Holiday Inn Express and Wingate are just across the street. If you are staying in Gillette for any period of time, go there instead, they are a bit more expensive, but you will rest easier and be in a cleaner environment.

Oh, and the Daybreak breakfast consisted of very stale mini donuts, a vat of white goo (gravy), inta-eggs, stale breads, and a dining room that is under construction. I would rather have eaten my shoe.

Not much in Gillette for budget minded travelers. Paid $85 and $10 for a dog and was very dissapointed. Old styled rooms, shabbily cleaned rooms and very smokey hallways.

The girls at the desk were very friendly and accommodating when we stayed here. We booked on line and only queen beds were available but were upgraded to a king when we checked in (new mattresses). The hotel was fairly clean and very convenient to where we needed to be. Lots of great restaurants nearby. Could use some general maintenance and repair but still a good place to stay. They advertise breakfast (i.e., biscuits and gravy and waffles) but neither was available on the first morning. Plus the owners are Muslim so it's not sausage gravy, just gravy, since Muslims don't eat pork. In addition, we were charged a "safe charge" even though we didn't use the safe in the room.
