“The Lexington is still the best!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 February 2014

We just got back from our yearly trip to Jackson Hole. We love this hotel and the people who work there. A big shout out to Ed, the Manager, front desk staff - Kat, Kaitlin, Patti and Armundo....the others were excellent too, just can't remember the names.. The breakfast room staff are the sweetest most accommodating people. We find the breakfasts to be excellent. Much, much better than the usual fare at most hotels. The menu consisted of, scrambled eggs, either bacon, sausages, hot ham and cheese croissants, home made oatmeal, cantaloupe, raspberries and a great variety of breads and muffins. Orange Juice, apple juice, milk and great coffee.. what else would you want for breakfast? Also there is a gentleman named Grover who comes in every morning and shows his amazing photographs of all the wild life he has taken in the last few years. An amazing fellow indeed! he is having his 90th birthday on Feb. 22nd. Some of his wonderful pictures hang in the dining room. While I am on here, I would like to say that Jackson hole is the friendliest little town. I think everyone must take Happy Pills! Even the security people at the Airport were polite, cheerful and very helpful.... best we have ever encountered..... try it, you will like it!

My husband and I stayed here a week ago, and were very pleased. In the price range of $125 per night, we never know what to expect, but were surprised at the attractiveness of the lobby and rooms. A bit above the usual Quality or Comfort inn, etc. Beds were comfortable, rooms were fairly spacious, and included was a free breakfast with scrambled eggs, bacon, etc.! Will definitely stay here again. Also, a location well situated in Jackson for walking to dinner, shopping, and so forth. Very friendly staff. Good wi-fi connection. Large flat screen tv.

Jackson looks a very interesting town in winter. This hotel is OK. Clean and helpful staff but no wow factor. No real dining room and breakfast is a bit "plain Jane". Not a destination hotel in its own right and a bit utilitarian.

Rex S,
Thank you for the review of your stay with us. No doubt, Jackson is a great place to visit in the winter. Providing our guests with award winning, authentic western hospitality plus the best lodging value in downtown Jackson is what we do. We let the destination (Grand Teton/Yellowstone Parks) and the #1 Ski Resort in N America (Jackson Hole) provide the "wow" factor! Hopeto see you in JH again soon.
Best,

This was our first visit to Jackson Hole, and we picked the Lexington based on its price and location. Needless to say, our expectations were greatly exceeded! The front desk staff (Caitlyn in particular) went out of their way to make us feel right at home. We received a free upgrade to a queen suite with kitchen. Comfy beds, lots of fluffy pillows and cute stuffed animals to greet you. They have Keurig coffee-makers in the rooms, and the kitchenette was well-appointed, if small. We took full advantage of the free cookies, coffee, tea and fruit-scented waters in the lobby each afternoon. The hotel is a one block walk to the town square, shopping and restaurants. Hotel shuttle will take you to the airport and mountain resorts, and the city bus/shuttle stops right across the street every 20 minutes for anywhere else you would like to go. Breakfast is served in the main building, and offered biscuits and gravy, oatmeal with assorted toppings, cereals, pastries and breads, belgian waffles, and alternating breakfast meats (sausage/ bacon / ham & cheese croissants). A fantastic value for the money, which I would recommend to anyone. We will back next year!

We stayed mid-week during the winter. Normally, this would be peak season, but snow has been skinny so far this year. The winter special rate of $88 per night could not be beat. We had a two queen room with an exterior door (motel style).

Room was incredibly comfortable. Stone tiled entry had a wall of hooks with plenty of room for ski equipment and lots of coats. Bed was very comfortable with nice linens. There is an in-room microwave and mini-fridge as well as Keurig coffee maker. Fixtures were very nice, with plenty of counter space and roomy bathroom. Heated tile in the bathroom controlled by a thermostat on the wall - very nice touch that you won't appreciate until you feel it!

We used the hot tub after a day of skiing. Pool is well maintained with plenty of towels and changing room/shower/bathroom attached! Made it unnecessary to run through the cold to get back to the room!

Breakfast is well done. Cereal, coffee, whole fruit, pastries, bread, eggs (scrambled and hard boiled), breakfast meats and WAFFLES!!! This feature makes for both time and money savings!

All hotel staff was friendly and helpful!

Lastly, location can't be beat! We walked everywhere in town and it's an easy 8.5 miles to Jackson Hole resort.

This place is truly a find! With airport shuttle also available, we're devising a way to get back here very soon! Don't hesitate to stay here.

Room Tip: We chose a first floor room so that we wouldn't have to walk far with our equipment.

Thank you for the kind words! I am glad to hear that you found our hotel and rates to your liking. We work hard to be the best lodging option in the downtown area and it is wonderful to see us meeting, and hopefully exceeding, our guests expectations. The Keurig coffee makers have been a very welcome addition to our rooms
Hope to see you in Jackson Hole again some day.

We stayed at the Lexington for a much researched and anticipated ski trip. It definitely lived up to my expectations. Even before we arrived, during my phone preliminaries, the staff are polite and genuinely friendly - in person they are more so. Katlen left everyone smiling in her wake, and Armando and Patti were eager to help with dinner reservations.

The location of the Lexington is excellent for walking to everything you need in town, and if you want to stray farther out of town (like skiing at Jackson Hole), the bus stop is literally right across the street. We didn't need a car. The public bus runs about every 30 minutes and for a flat $3.00, will take you to the mountain or across town.

Breakfast is above average - eggs, sausage, waffles, fruit, oatmeal, etc. There is coffee and tea all day in the lobby and cookies in the afternoon.

Speaking of food, I should mention that Macphails burgers are, in the words of my teenage boys, the best burgers they've ever had. The service is excellent as well. The Blue Lion was very nice, but very expensive. We ate at the Merry Piglet twice and it was sufficient as an affordable mexican restaurant.

Be aware that the hotel shuttle to the ski mountain only has room for 10 passengers, one trip in am and one pickup in pm, and you will need to sign up in person when you arrive. We took the public bus for two days, which was easy and cheap, but I had hoped for a free shuttle each day. Airport shuttle was easy; just ask for the times. We needed to arrange for a 6:00am airport shuttle for one of our flights - $18.

Heated floors in bathroom were a nice treat, and the room was clean and big enough for three boys and ski gear to spread out.

We will come back!

Room Tip: Our room was facing the courtyard, second floor, with stairs. Very quiet.
