The Rustic Inn and Spa was an amazing place to stay in Jackson. Beautiful cabins and bathrooms. Beautifully decorated with a great front porch, cool firepots to sit around for cool summer evenings. Close enough to walk anywhere in town but they also offer a shuttle service anywhere in town. Awesome breakfast included every morning. It is worth the cost! I would stay here and take a tour into Yellowstone as opposed to staying at one of the expensive Park owned howls in Yellowstone with no AC, no Internet, no breakfast and a tiny room with a tiny bed. Ugh, I like amenities when I travel and the Rustic offered everything plus a super helpful staff.

Room Tip: Any cabin should be comparable.

We stayed for 5 nights in 3 rooms with a party of 7. We were able to spend a good amount of time in the Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks and also in Jackson itself - which is full of interest and buzzing activity. We found the hotel very comfortable indeed with good service and in a great location. We were lucky enough to have creek side rooms which were booked in advance as part of our package. There is a good amount of wildlife around in the hotel grounds - especially birds, and good views. The info centre opposite next to the Elk Reserve is well worth an acclimatisation visit, as is the local Wildlife Art Museum which we found inspiring. The Rustic Inn breakfast is excellent with all options cared for from healthy to indulgent.

Room Tip: We were lucky enough to have creek side rooms which are far away from the road. It's probably a...

This is my favorite place to stay in Jackson. It's a very nice rustic resort (notice I said "rustic"). Many of the rooms have log walls, and the décor is western. The staff has always been friendly and most helpful. The shuttle drivers always suggest things to see and do. On this particular visit, we saw ducks on the creek, mule deer across the creek, and both mule deer and elk on the hillside behind. You're not likely to see the elk or mule deer during the summer months because they are much higher up in the mountains then where it's cooler and where there aren't thousands of people(!). This time, the staff upgraded us to a spacious double queen with a fireplace. We had a large bathroom, easy chair, dining table, refrigerator and microwave. One morning while we were dressing, we heard a very loud noise, which we thought might be the heater in the room above us. We called the front desk and someone came to check on it immediately (as in less than 5 minutes) and everything was good in a matter of minutes. We've always been impressed with the breakfast choices they offer - probably the best free breakfast we've had in hotels. The hotel is right across the street from the visitor center and the edge of the National Elk Refuge. We went on the Elk Refuge sleigh ride, and the buses board from the visitor center. It couldn't have been more convenient. We were very pleased with our stay!

Everything is top notch here, walking distance to town. Ask for a room near the creek, and enjoy the teepee fires (be aware they have to shut them off at about 10pm I think...county regulation or something) but such a nice touch. Everything is pricey in this town, so it is not that expensive...relatively speaking...comparing. We enjoyed our two night stay!

It is great to hear that you find the Rustic Inn to be the “perfect spot in Jackson Hole”! The creekside rooms are the most popular and the most convenient when wanting to access our various fire pits in our beautiful nature preserve. We do have to shut down the fire pits at 10:00pm nightly due to town regulations, but we do light them around 6:00pm, giving guests ample time to enjoy them in the evening. Thank you for your review. We look forward to welcoming you back next time your travels bring you to the Jackson Hole area!

Look, Jackson Hole is nothing but a tourist trap. It is just south of the Yellowstone and Grand Teaton's National Park entrance so the entire area believes they are entitled to rip off the average consumer. Of the 6 different hotels I stayed at on my recent trip to Montana and Wyoming, this one was the smallest room of all. That being said, the room was spotless clean. The bed was amazing, the bathroom with a shower built for two and the breakfast were fantastic. The hotel itself was impeccable in every aspect. Probably one of the cleanest places I've been in a long time. However, that does not diminish the fact that this is a log cabin motel, not a Hotel. And there are few rooms anywhere that are worth the $300.00 a night range. When I'm paying $300 to sleep, I want to see the Eifel Tower out my window; not another cabin.

First, I will say that the woman I dealt with at the front desk was charming and helpful which is more than I can say for her fellow front desk staffer, a young man whose major contribution was a sidebar conversation about how poorly staffed the "resort" was. Our room was on the backside of the property along a creek. The sun beat upon the room unmercifully heating it up in such a way as an improperly performing air conditioner was helpless to overcome. Additionally our phone didn't work, so we were forced to use our cell phone to call the front desk. Finally, we abandoned the room and moved into the one next door with our two teenage children. We walked up to what was a pleasant looking bar but finally left when the understaffing insured that we were basically ignored for over 15 minutes even sitting at the bar. The breakfast was overwhelmed by a couple of tour busses something I don't blame on the property but made the free breakfast pretty worthless. The property is interesting - row upon row of "log cabin" rooms, but unless they get their staffing and interest among the staff in being a four star property elevated, we won't return.

Room Tip: As appealing as it might seem don't get the rooms along the creek.

First, let me say that I am sorry you did not enjoy the creekside guestrooms that you had reserved. These rooms sell out regularly during the summer months since they offer the most desirable location on property with the best views of our lush, 7 acre nature preserve/firepit area. During your stay with us at the end of July, we were experiencing unusually hot weather with temperatures reaching into the 90s, which caused a lot of stress on all of our air conditioning unites. We had maintenance come and inspect your air conditioning unit immediately and they found it to be functioning correctly, however, as I explained to you, the unit was had not been on as long as the one in your children's room and therefore needed more time to cool the room off completely. When you expressed no interest in waiting, For your inconvenience, I immediately refunded your room rate for the night, despite being within our 7 day cancellation policy, nor did I charge you the standard additional $40 per night extra adult charges for combining rooms.

Our hot breakfast buffet is quite popular and I am sorry that you had to wait due to crowding. We do offer breakfast from 6:00-10:00am and there are usually lulls in the crowds throughout that 4 hour period with less wait times and all food items are regularly stocked during that time. We also offer additional seating in our bar/bistro area and on our patio to accomodate all guests.

Moreover, this summer has unfortunately been a challanging season in the Jackson Hole area for staffing qualified employees, but we strive to always provide exceptional service to all of our guests in every situation. I am sorry that your experience seemingly did not live up to the Rustic Inn standards. We appreciate your feedback and will address these issues with our entire, hardworking staff. Hopefully you will give us the opportunity to make it up to you - perhaps in the winter when town is not as crowded and we can awe you with our commitment to our guests. I hope you enjoyed the Jackson Hole area.

This was the perfect place to stay when seeing Jackson Hole! The "Cabins" are more like luxurious rooms, very nice inside, very clean... a mini fridge (with beer), microwave, nice TV, roomy nice shower, beautiful theme decor. It seemed like every room had a deck with adarondack chairs and a small table. Our room was facing the natural Flat River... had a nice grass area and a swing set right on the riverside. We watched several folks float by on tubes. There are smores to buy at the lounge and fire pits dotted the propoerty and were promptly lit every night! There are also 2 or 3 teepee's where mostly the crowd with kids hung out and made smores. It created a little community and we met several nice families visiting from all over within our teepee! The pool is heated and the spa is HOT. The sauna was roomy. The service was bomarded, seemed like they needed a little help in the bar, but there were lots of people in the bar enjoying themselves none-the-less. We had to walk to the bar to order poolside, but they always brought out our order. The towels were large and the seating plentiful around the pool. We loved the way this place was designed - lots of little nooks for privacy or communal areas for the feeling friendly crowd. The complimentary breakfast was great - eat the bacon! They provide a complimentary shuttle which we took to the local rodeo and had a blast! SUGGESSTION: GO TO THE RODEO!!! No Jackson Hole experience would be complete without seeing a Mutton Busting!
