“Great location”
Reviewed 15 July 2014 via mobile

We are a family of 4 that stayed five nights in a Superior Creekside Double Queen Guest room with Fireplace in July. We were in room 227 (second floor). Although it had beautiful views of the mountains and creek the afternoon sun heated the room so much we had to close the curtains to help cool the room. The room was clean and very spacious for a family of four with comfy beds. One thing we would have liked is a mirror and another sink area outside the bathroom to help speed up 'getting ready time' for a family. The resort offered a great complementary breakfast, a small heated pool, and fishing pools to use in the creek. Our room was about 5 blocks walking distance from town square and about 25 minutes to Grand Tetons. Overall a nice place to spend time in Jackson.

We enjoyed our 5 nights at the Rustic Inn. It has great access to downtown Jackson and Grand Teton National Park. Our kids really enjoyed the property and being able to run around the beautiful grounds. We participated in fly fishing classes, watched folks tube down flat ricer, and even saw a beaver swim by. The cabin is the size of a standard king hotel room, do not expect anything larger. Also, do not expect the high end luxury you will find at the Four Seasons in Teton Village or the Amangani. We spent two nights at the Four Seasons and it is better in all ways, but you pay for it. The breakfast is good, even if the dining room is a bit small at peak times. The dinner service was extremely slow and food was good enough. Other restaurants in Jackson are a better bet. Also, if you plan on using the pull out sofa for the kids, the non-central air conditioning unit is poorly placed and freezes the kids by morning. The internet is quite slow and the television has a big lack of HD choices, not that you should worry about indoor activities with all of the great outdoor choices in the area. If you are looking for a kid friendly base for great activities in Jackson, Grand Teton, and Yellowstone - you can't go wrong with the Rustic Inn. If you want high-end services, gourmet food, and business friendly modern services head to other properties.

I have traveled throughout the US and this hotel will come to mind years down the road. The hotel seems to be very new and the rooms and grounds of the Rustic Inn are well kept. The inn offers free use of fishing poles and a canoe for guests. For the fishing, all you have to do is grab a one-day fishing license at the visitors center across the street. The hotel restaurant bar was quiet, but offered plenty of decent food after a long day of travel. There is freshly brewed Starbucks coffee awaiting guests in the lobby all day. The breakfast buffet includes standard items such as scrambled eggs, bacon, and continental items. However all items were prepared well. I would especially recommend this hotel for those with kids as there is plenty of room for them to romp around. I hope you found this review to be helpful!

Thank you for taking the time to write a review! We hope you had luck catching some of the beautiful cutthroat trout in the creek behind our property. We also agree that the area is perfect for kids and adults alike, with tee-pees and fire pits to roast marshmallows.

Our staff looks forward to welcoming you again on your next Jackson Hole adventure.

My family of four stayed in one of the cabins with 2 queen beds for 2 nights on an extended trip around Yellowstone Park. The Inn is nice, very pricey, and quiet. The room was a decent size and has high end furniture and fixings, however, the drape for a door to the shower area is a bit odd. Hard to be quiet in the morning if you are getting ready before anyone else is awake. The porch with chairs was a nice touch. The property itself is really hit or miss. Some of the cabins have great, quiet views, and then others have horrible views of the parking lot. Our cabin was thankfully near one of the quieter areas. WIFI is free but the worst wifi we had during out 2 week stay in North Dakota, Montana and Wyoming (4 hotels). Barely got any signal at all.

The breakfast buffet was nice and honestly, the best hotel breakfast buffet we had during our 2 week trip. They don't have any pancakes or waffles though. One or the other would of been nice. The coffee is top-notch (Starbucks!!!!) and the flavored melon water in the lobby was blissful and ice cold on a hot day. The gym was small but nicely equipped. The guest laundry was also really nice, and the dryer ran for 80 minutes (cost $2 per load). The Inn is a short walk into town so we never used the car. There is a small shopping strip next to the Inn (on the other side of the creek) that has a convenience store that has some of the best sandwiches I have ever had. They open up at 6 a.m. so if you want to get an early start on your Yellowstone trip and want fresh made sandwiches (reasonably priced) to take into the park for a picnic, they start making the sandwiches when they open! Highly recommend it!

All in all this was a nice place to stay, but way overpriced. Think we paid over $300 a night and it should of been max of $250. Jackson Hole is cute, but very commercialized. I was trying to find a locally made gift for my Dad and had a really hard time. Everything was made in China or Singapore, etc. So if you are looking for authentic goods, probably not the best place.

Our staff is excited that we could make your anniversary memorable! Our in-town shuttle service is a first come first served service that we feel provide our guests with convince and value to allow them to fully enjoy the downtown area. We also offer an airport shuttle from 7am- 11pm, with 24 hour advanced notice, to save our guest that hassle and cost of a taxi.

Thanks for choosing the Rustic Inn for your anniversary.

We stayed in a cabin near the pool. It was beautiful--rustic yet elegant. The toiletries were high-end, and two people could easily fit in the shower. We were able to walk downtown for dinner, which was convenient. Breakfast was great. The price of our stay was a bit high, but it was an enjoyable indulgence. A+!
