We booked a trip with this company but due to some miscommunication on their end, we were never picked up from our hotel. You would think that, as a result of our experience, I would be writing a scathing review--but actually it's quite the opposite. The way this company handled the problem from a customer service standpoint was absolutely excellent. Chris was so kind and helpful, giving us two free passes for upgraded tours to use in the future. It was a pleasure dealing with a company that went out of their way to correct their mistake and make sure we were well taken care of and happy to have chosen them as a tour operator.

We were attracted to this company because of the excellent view afforded by the vehicles (just like an African safari) and the backing of the Teton Science Schools, which we thought would insure good guides. We were right about the vehicle but wrong about the guide (Ben). He didn't seem to have a plan on where to take us. We did see some elk early on and he stopped, let us take pictures and talked about them. From then on, elk were passed by. Unfortunately, we did not see any other widlife. Part of the problem is that we were speeding along on gravel roads making enough noise to wake the dead and surely spook any wildlife. Plus, hours of bone jarring in a fast moving vehicle was not a pleasant experience. I guess Ben had enough too as he bragged about how he "got us back early"--not a positive in our books given the price we paid. Later we went to a FREE ranger talk and the ranger pointed out areas where wolves, owls, bears, etc. had been consistently seen. Perhaps Wildlife Expeditions should attend these talks so they know where to go to see the wildlife.

This company was recommended by our hotel, but I was put off by the "extra $25 for time and wear and tear" to pick us up at the hotel in Teton Village. I did not want to drive to Jackson in the dark. So I went to the web site to try to get the 10% discount to help make up for the extra charge, but although it's not clearly spelled out until you try to book, you have to book 10 days ahead to get the discount.
Booking page:
"Call [--]
10th Anniversary 10% online discount will be deducted at checkout. Discount valid for Sunrise, Sunset, Wildlife Discovery, Old Faithful and Lower Loop Expeditions."

Booking page once date is specified:
" Please Note: A $25 fee will be added for a pick up in Teton Village. If you would like to meet us in the town of Jackson at no charge, select "Home Ranch Public Parking Lot".
Your selected date cannot be within 10 days of the current date. Please contact Wildlife Expeditions for more information."

So I went online and found a different company that was less expensive and picked us up for the regular price. We had a blast!

We decided to go on the sunset tour. There was just 4 of us, so we received our guide's full attention. Her name was Lynette and she really knew her stuff. We saw bison, elk, coyote, moose, grouse, and pronghorn and took some amazing photographs. It was one of the highlights of our trip.

We took the early morning tour with Melissa and Nadine. They picked us up ready to see different animals that call the Grand Tetons their home. We saw Wapitis, buffalos, a wolf, moose, and lots of water fowl and birds. They knew so much about each of these animals. They had binoculars and had their eyes peeled on the ground looking for any sign of wildlife. When they spotted a wolf, they got out their telescope and we had the best possible view. They took our suggestions where we would like to go and had plenty of snacks and drinks for us.
We had the best possible time and can only recommend this Teton Science School expedition group.
