We stayed here with our son and two dogs. We initially booked the studio but upgraded the next day to the larger cabin. It was clean and well equipped. The kitchenette was perfect for preparing a few meals. The cabin (#220) was warm and quiet and comfortable. The staff was accommodating and kind. They really are dog friendly. Mine were off leash and all they ask is that you clean up after them. We will stay again.

It was our pleasure to show you true western hospitality at the Cowboy Village Resort. Thanks for mentioning that Cowboy Village welcomes dogs on vacation with their responsible dog owners. We look forward to any future trips that you might have again to Cowboy Village Resort.

Jackson is a place that could have been designed for an economics textbook. It is like Santa Barbara, an artificially small place in which all of the business concessions were locked in decades ago. There is no competition. You pay the price, or you go somewhere else far away. That's how an average property is the best in Jackson. Our room had queen bunkbeds. The top bunk was up against the ceiling. The bottom bunk was up against the top bunk. There was, however, plenty of room between the bottom bunk and the floor. We were there for an event, which meant that we saw rooms in other places that were worse and more expensive. This place is just average, but it's the best in Jackson.

This review is a bit late, like about 2 years late. Remembered it when looking back at old travel photos. We stayed there in June of 2011. I am forced by TripAdvisor to choose a date in 2013 so I picked Jan 2013.

The reason we stayed at this resort (I am just going with the name cause we did not have time to see if its really a resort). We stayed only one night because we were on our way to Yellowstone National Park with friends. Driving there with the help of GPS (Google) was pretty easy. Checking in was smooth. Coffee and tea are available all day only at the front desk. We choose a cabin with double occupancy. It was nice and cozy. Not far from the check in building. It has parking. You should get the map which they would provide to navigate to your cabin because all the cabins look similar.

It's the first time we stay in a log cabin which was kind of neat. Makes you feel like living in the wild, like you see in the movies. The cabin was clean. It comes with stove, utensils, table and chairs. Shower and toilet are also in the cabin (was kind of worry at first, thought we have to take care of business in the wild : ))

After checking in and put away our luggage we drove to a grocery store nearby and bought some food to cook at the cabin. It was still early, around 7 pm. We got steaks and some veggies. Our friends, I guess because they have done it before so they know what to bring on a long trip, have manage to bring along a rice cooker, rice, soy sauce, sugar, salt, and of course, their own utensils. We save some $$$ by cooking many of our own meals thanks to our thoughtful friends.

I like this Cowboy Village Resort. I wish we could have stay an extra night to explore the area. Maybe on our next trip.

Some traveling tips:
- Have a map, even with the GPS (some area will not have receptions).
- If going on a long road trip, to save money, bring some food you can cook on your own. And snacks. Sometimes if you arrived late at your hotel/motel, eatery may closed.
- Good to have rotating drivers on long road trip.
- Ask hotel/motel if there is late check in. If not, what other options do they have. Like could they tap your room key to their front door and let you check in the next morning?
- If there is a view, always ask if you could get a room with a view. With no extra charges of course.

Happy Tripping.

Satyed in that Village on October, 2013 and enjoyed all days a lot! The location is perfect - in the centre, just 5 minutes walking to the downtown, at the same time it is a real motel style lodge, so, we had BBQ in front of our lodge and our kid ran her scooter all around the resort. We booked suite #205 with extra space for dining and liked the interior of our room a lot. The kitchen worked perfectly and we cooked all meals inside. Beds were comfortable. We also used laundry facilties in a separate room(extra charge) and had coffee with cookies at the reception. There is no supermarkets nearby, so, we drove to a big shopping area, appr. 7 minutes to buy food and drinks. just across the street we found Staples and my wife went shopping there. I would like to say Thanks to the front desk staff for grill and charcoal, it was so kind. Great place and I recommend it to all visitors in Jackson Hole.

After reviewing many resorts in Jackson we booked Cowboy Village not knowing exactly what we were in for. What a surprise! REALLY really cute cabin in a great location - easy to walk to downtown where parking is an issue. We arrived before check in and were able to check in early even though our cabin was not ready. But that allowed us to spend the day in the Tetons.
Very friendly staff - clean room, free ice by the bag full!
Our coffee carafe cracked the first morning and with a note I left for housekeeping, it was replaced with no problem.
Great rates in an expensive touristy town. Would definitely recommend!

We stayed at the Resort Christmas 1996 with our Macedonian Exchange student. The cabin fit our needs for our family of 3, cozy and walking distance to downtown. Fast forward 17 years, and we stopped into Jackson Hole the day before Thanksgiving with our 16 year old daughter and our exchange student from Thailand. The rates at the village were still reasonable, in fact I think the cabin cost the same as in 1996.

If you are staying more than a couple of nights, the cabin is a little cozy for 4 as the closet is small and there isn't room for the luggage. But, the beds are comfortable, as are the pillows. There are two TVs which makes it nice if you want choices as to what you are going to watch. The bath room had recently been redone and they installed a floor heater to warm the tile floor. One warning, each cabin has its own 50 gallon water tank....don't count on 4 long hot showers one after the other. The Resort has this posted, but the teens didn't read the sign and I ended up taking a cold shower. Fortunately, though it was 18 degrees outside, the cabin is warm!

The resort now offers a continental breakfast, which considering the reasonable rate the resort charges, was a nice surprise. The indoor pool was heated and there is a spa.

The staff is very friendly and in fact my husband went to the desk several times to visit with the manager. Or, maybe he was just enjoying the free hot chocolate and cookies!

Thank you Cowboy Village for the great memories!

My husband and I loved the Cowboy Village! It is pet friendly, so our pups were able to travel and stay with us. They did not even charge an extra fee for having our furry friends which is pretty much unheard of! The staff was exceptionally nice and the room was sparkling clean. It much exceeded our expectations for the price. It was also just a couple blocks to the downtown square and parking was never a problem. It was such a cute little cabin and the rates were very reasonable. We can't wait to go back!
