We spent a great Christmas skiing in Jackson as a family of 5 with 3 teenage/adult kids. Preferred staying in town rather at Teton resort as could easily wander round the shops and visit local restaurants by foot in the evening. Free transfers daily to the slopes.

Rusty Parrot has a small scale, non-corporate feel. Lovely dining room with fire and antler chandeliers where we had breakfasts and three high quality dinners. Small upstairs library with a fire we used for playing cards over drinks.

Rooms were a reasonable size with all essentials provided. Staff very friendly.

Only negative was airport taxi we'd asked to be booked failed to arrive at 5am on the day we left. However, the night watchman dug out the hotel car keys from the office and took us there himself.

I performed extensive research on Jackson hotels and loved the Rusty Parrot. High end hotel in every way with service well beyond the majority of choices. Kind of a smaller Four Seasons with equivalent service. Multiple front desk & dining room personnel went out of their way to help us on different needs. Particularly loved the upstairs deck hot tub where we were able to look up to the stars and a full moon. Pricey but we'll worth the price.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Central location, comfortable rooms and beds, very helpful friendly staff... Dinner and breakfast in the restaurant was truly amazing. Very nicely presented delicious food. Cosy bar area. An unforgettable experience.

We booked this hotel after reading the amazing ratings it has received. Rusty Parrot is a beautiful hotel but not quite what we expected for the price. We arrived in Jackson Hole a day early and found a hotel down the street for a quarter of the price with amenities that we appreciate, heated tile floors, in room coffee, fridge, microwave. The rooms at the Rusty Parrot were larger but dated. We booked a fireplace room but to enjoy a fire you have to call service to come and light it. Three small pieces of wood that burn about 20 minutes. They will come back and add more wood but how much romance is there with people coming and going in your room? We read about the cookies and ginger water?? Never saw either the two days we stayed, it was the slow time for them but the price was still the same as the busy season. Overall a very nice hotel but just didn't see the value.

World's Best Chocolate Chip Cookie is one of the chief delights but we loved the location and spa as well. We booked in at the last minute when our reserved accommodations within the National Park were closed with the government closures. The Wild Sage restaurant was very good but they were a little short-staffed during breakfast. The Spa is fabulous and we enjoyed massages, body wraps and scrubs. My daughter especially enjoyed her 'maternity' massage. The outdoor hot tub was also a delight enjoyed each night

It was an early snow, and romance was in the air. This little jewel won our hearts. Intimate, cozy and well run. Incredibly comfortable beds, lovely amenities, courteous staff. The dining room, Wild Sage, has exquisite food, beautiful presentation, professional service...this when Jackson's "shoulder" season makes EVERYONE prefer to stay home...fire in the fireplace...what could be more romantic?

Cannot wait to make up another reason to stay in a hotel when we are home!

Room Tip: Ours was perfect...

My husband booked a room for us for our one year annnversary trip. I will start with the pros!
Staff was welcoming, helped with luggage, etc. cookies were served in the afternoon to accompany the 24 hou coffee and tea station. We enjoyed the hot tub all to ourselves on a nice patio (wouldn't be as enjoyable on a really crowded evening but we lucked out it being just the two of us!) bed was very comfy, bathroom was spacious (sink and vanity separate from shower and toilet- a plus in my book) balcony was nice-it is open to your neighbors porches but ours were not outside. Tv was easy to use and hotel was within walking distance of a lot of shops and restaurants. Best part!! - we were brought a complimentary
Cons: minor but the hotel room could stand a wine cooler or mini fridge and a trash can in the bathroom. I am not from the west and I have to say western decor thows me off everytime I visit. I do not typically associate antler chandeliers with 5 star places so prepare yourself for that before walking in.
