“Loved it!”
Reviewed 9 June 2014

My husband & I took the three day "Top of the World Tour" in June 2014. I hadn't been out to Yellowstone since I was a child and my husband had never been. We wanted to do it right and not just drive around aimlessly like everyone else does. This tour was perfect for us. The tour was all inclusive, so we didn't have to worry about where to stay or eat. The guide drivers are in constant contact with each other, so your animal viewing is much greater as they share sighting information as well as knowing where the animals normally hang out. Not only that, but it was so nice to have someone driving us along instead of sharing the driving between ourselves. You know we would have missed half of what was out there because we would have had to focus on the road. Our guide, Josh, was a very safe driver, polite and full of useful information while we were out on our tour. I never thought we would see all that we did. In addition to the beautiful scenery, we saw moose, bison (everywhere!), elk, coyotes, black bears, grizzly bears, bald eagles and many more! I think the three day tour was enough for us. We had a day before and a day after to ourselves. We covered almost 1,000 miles in three days. Any longer would have started to wear on us. If you asked me if there was anything that was not positive, my only critique would be the Suburban that we drove around in. There was another couple with us (we did not book a private tour), so we were in the back seat of the Suburban two out of the three days. My husband is 6'4" and was quite cramped in the back seat. They did offer the front seat to one of us so we could stretch out, but we declined as we wanted to share the experiences together. Not sure how that could be remedied. In any event, they were wonderful and we would do it again...and probably will!!

“An Enriching Experience”
Reviewed 8 June 2014

We went on the afternoon (begins at 3:30) trip, which concluded at about 8:30 p.m.. Cannot say enough good things about Ian, our guide. He arrived to pick us up at our hotel in a comfortable, clean van. He was personable and extremely knowledgeable about the area's geology, history, flora, and wildlife. We are a family of two adults and two teenage girls, and he related comfortably to each of us. Over the course of four hours we saw elk, pronghorns, bison, otter, and beaver. Ian taught us a lot, not only about the animals, but about the protocols of safely viewing wildlife. He brought along binoculars for each of us as well as a spotting glass. Interspersed with talking about the wildlife, Ian elicited information from each of us about our own lives and interests, and he used this information to make the tour more responsive. We felt that the hours we spent on the "safari" gave us a deeper understanding and appreciation for the area and this enhanced our appreciation of the Tetons-Yellowstone area for the remainder of our stay.

“The Best Way to Experience Yellowstone/Grand Tetons”
Reviewed 2 June 2014

We booked two summer safaris with Jackson Hole Wildlife Safaris and are so glad we did. We have two children ages 12 and 16. First we did the Grand Tetons Wildlife Safari / River Rafting. Our guide Jake located a lot of wildlife for us to see and photograph. We saw grizzly bears, black bears, moose, elk, pronghorn, bison, coyotes, and even coyotes puppies! So amazing. The rafting on the Snake River in the afternoon was incredibly fun. It isn't as scary as it might seem! Definitely do it. The kids had a blast.

The second safari we did was a full-day Yellowstone tour. Jake was our guide again and we were so pleased he was. He brought us to the great sites in Yellowstone and customized our day to what we wanted to do. He has great energy and enthusiasm for his work. He definitely enjoys showing people all the wonders of the area. We got lessons in wildlife, ecology, geology, and history. Jake knows his stuff! We would have never been able to learn all we did about the area without taking these tours.

Jackson Hole Wildlife Safaris knows how to conduct a tour. They pick you up at your hotel. They let you pick out your breakfast and lunch. They have plenty of water and snacks and they provide binoculars for each person. You literally only need to bring sunscreen and a camera. They take care of everything else. Our guide Jake was also proactive about taking family photos for us. That was a special touch.

“Wildlife tours of Grand Teton and Yellowstone”
Reviewed 30 May 2014

My husband, and sister and brother in law took two tours with this terriffic group this week! Josh (who is also a professional photographer) was the tour guide through the Grand Teton National Forest, and Kyle guided us through Yellowstone. We couldn't have had better weather or two better guides! We saw elk, pronghorn antelope,. bison, herons, grizzlies and black bears, and got to view the most beautiful scenery one could imagine. The guides were professional, so very friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. Our safety and comfort was the first thing they thought of throughout both trips. We could not have said anything bad about either of the tours, they were first rate!!!! The second part of the Teton trip included a scenic float trip down the Snake River. Ian and Matt were great guides and we enjoyed the afternoon immensely. The Snake is running pretty high this time of year, but they handled it like pros. If you ever get to Jackson Hole, this is the company to look for!

“Learnt something from Jody today !!”
Reviewed 18 May 2014

Went with Jody on a Wildlife Safari this morning and sighted a black bear relaxing under a tree. Jody showed us how to take a close-up photo from our iPhone looking through his telescope. His sharp eyes also spotted a moose, pronghorn deer, mule deers, and sand cranes. There were also herds of bisons everywhere. Thanks for a great morning Jody !!!
