“Hampton Quality in Jackson”
Reviewed 17 July 2014

Would recommend to any traveler. Our family of 4 enjoyed the hot tub, fire pits in front of the hotel, and breakfast. Staff was exceptional as always with Hampton. Will stay there again when in Jackson.

Thank you for your kind words - we are thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us!

I have to admit, my favorite amenity at the hotel is our fire pits – never too old to enjoy s’mores! And it sounds like the kids enjoyed the whirlpool and our breakfasts!

We look forward to seeing you on your next trip - maybe a winter trip next time, there's lots of snowshoeing and cross country skiing trails, dogsled tours, or take a sleigh ride out onto the National Elk Refuge and be amongst 5,000+ elk? : )

Take care,

I have membership with Hilton Honor and Starwood, and this is one of Hilton Honor hotel chains. This is the **POOREST** experience I have ever experienced with any hotels within Hilton Honor chain. This hotel charges more points per stay per night in comparison with other Hampton Inn. It is not a cheap hotel to stay by any means. We required to use more Hilton Honor points to stay per night. During the check-in, the front desk lady was nice and greeted to us. She turned rude and unresponsive once she found out that we were using points. We didn't really understand what this behavior change until a lot later. We requested to be away from the elevator during check-in. At the end, we got the room RIGHT NEXT to the elevator. I double and triple check with the lady before I took my room keys before walking away. She insisted that it wasn't the room next to elevator. I was happy and left to go check out the room. Boy, I was so wrong!! The room was RIGHT next to the elevator. I dragged my kid and all the luggages down the elevator in attempt to change the room assignment. I thought the front desk lady must be confused. The front desk lady refused to changed. She replied: 'there is no more double bed available'. If we want, they still have room with one King size bed. We could stay there, and the hotel were fully book on double bed. It is late. There is no more double bed. Coincidentally, there is a party of 6 with no small kids just came into the lobby, and they were waiting to be check-in after us. She insisted that we would need to stay in that double room or there is no other room available for us. I asked her: 'I don't mind to take the Kind size bed if there is a roll away bed available for my daughter'. She replied, 'we don't have any roll away bed, and we only have one double room. That's it'. She was super rude! By this time, it was 9:30pm. 15 minutes has gone since we came in. My daughter was tired. I really don't want to argued with front desk lady, so I asked 'If there is a room not next to elevator and a solution for my family of 3 to sleep, I will take it'. She insist on 'No. No. No'. I guessed we hold up the line. The front desk lady is the only person in the front. The party of 6 behind us were still waiting to be check-in. It attracted the assistant/manager to come out to check. The front desk lady got nervous and insisted with the manager that there was no other room available. What she said afterward shocked me! She continue to go on and said to the manager: 'They are traveling with points, and they are not paying customers.' I honestly didn't know what to say afterward. I paused for 2 minutes. I am really trying to hold back and politely to letting him what had happened that I am trying to work hard with them. After going through the screen for another minute, the manager said he think we could stay in the handicap room which has a small pull out sofa bed for my daughter. Would that be OK with us? I told him that I am WILLING to take anything not next to elevator and a solution to allow my family to sleep comfortably for the night. The manager shown us the room which is the first room behind the front desk. It has a King size bed with a small single pull-out sofa seat. We were happy to take it. No, the manager never once said there are no more room available for double bed. By the time we finished, 25 minutes has gone. During the time when the manager was helping us, the front desk lady was helping out the party of 6. Yes, she offered them two rooms with 6 adult that has no small kids, and they have reservations for 2 room. Whatever it is, it tells me that there were rooms with double bed available - the front desk lady *just* didn't want to offered us - BECAUSE WE were TRAVELED with Hilton Honor POINTS. I felt discriminated against by the front desk lady because we are using points. She was extremely un-professional. It really leaves a really bad taste in the mouth to start our stay. The room was exactly what I expected from a regular Hampton Inn room.

Room Tip: Don't use points! If you have to, make sure you check-in early, so they could meet your request...

Thank you for your review – we value your feedback!

We appreciate your comments regarding your stay and would like to apologize for your experience at check-in. Regardless how you were paying for your stay, our staff should always be friendly and courteous – we will speak to the staff to reiterate the importance of having Hamptonalilty with or without HHonor points involved!

We apologize for the inconvenience of having to change rooms and delay your child’s bed time but are relieved to hear that the manager on duty was able to find a room away from the elevator that met your needs.

Rest assured we will use your review for a training tool at our weekly staff meeting and hope you'll reconsider staying with us again on your next trip to Jackson Hole - please allow us to WOW you!

Take care,

Thank you for your kind words!

We are thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us and our signature hot breakfast, complete with home-made pica de gallo!

We pride ourselves on the cleanliness of our rooms as there is nothing better than a clean bed to fall into after a long day of exploring Jackson Hole!

Our location to the National Parks and the Town Square is pretty convenient! And if you don't feel like getting back into the car, take the START Bus, the stop is on our property and they offer a FREE Town Shuttle which runs every 20 minutes! In the winter, the fare is $3 to JHMR!

We look forward to seeing you again on your next trip and thank you for choosing the Hampton Inn Jackson Hole over the many lodging options in the valley.

Take care,

Clean and comfortable with very nice decor. Had everything we needed and everything was in working order. All this in the most beautiful part of the universe - the majestic Teton Mountains! The firepits were inviting and cozy in the fresh mountain air.

We think our location is pretty convenient too - you can't beat being just 4 miles from Grand Teton National Park!

We are loving all the amenities this hotel has to offer our guests inside and out. My personal favorite - the fire pits out front, who doesn't love making s’mores!?! : )

Just spent one night at the Hampton Inn Jackson Hole. Rooms are small and dark but clea. You will not get luxury but its perfect to sleep. Who wants to be in a hotel room anyways when Grand Tetons are a few minutes away? Breakfast is very good. Hard to find a seat early in the morning.
Staff very helpful with recommendations for restaurants and souvenir shopping. Got early check in as well. Great stop for our Grand Teton trip. Would stay here again.

Room Tip: Don't expect any views. We did get a 5th floor room and could see 4th of July fireworks from our...

We stayed at the Hampton Inn on the way back from Yellowstone onward to Moab UT. What a wonderful little hotel!

While the entire town of Jackson Hole is expensive, we were able to get a AAA rate of $293 plus taxes at this hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the hotel is situated next to a lot of restaurants, gas stations and Albertsons grocery. Our kids were entertained by the hot pool/jacuzzi. The hotel is well maintained and clean. They have outdoor fire pits for those chilly evenings and nights. Their breakfast is also fantastic. Highly recommended!
