We had originally booked two nights here but after learning that our requests for a quiet location had been misplaced, we canceled our first night. The tale speaks well of the operators even though the problem should have been avoided.

We were working our way South from Yellowstone and had stopped at the Jackson Lake Lodge for lunch. I called Elk Country to confirm our rooms. When asked if the requested room location was accommodated the desk person said "no, it's at the top of the stairs on the second of three floors". I told her that we would like to drop that room, stay at the Jackson Lake Lodge for the first night and have a quiet room for our second night. Steve, the night manager, said that he would sell our room and get us the quiet room as requested. There was always a friendly, honest and professional attitude and we ended up most pleased.

The room was in the middle of the top floor in one of the rear units and was clean, very quiet and comfortable. The refrigerator/freezer was good enough to refreeze the stuff from our ice chest and the microwave was ready for reheats.

There are plenty of pictures of the place so I will just add some of the local area for the photographers who might read this.

For a town where everything is way pricey, the Elk Country Inn stands out. We stayed in a cabin for one night on our way to GTNP. We used to work in the park so we knew what Jackson was like. I didn't think I find a room that I felt was a good value. I was wrong, our cabin was perfect. They have nice pourches with picnic table, and there was a grass area and small playground for our little one. He loved being able to run around. He also like the two tvs, since we were there during a summer snow storm.
The people at the front desk were very nice. We didn't have any problems but they had their hands full helping others who were unable to make it to Yellowstone due to the storm and closed roads there.
If I were in need of a place to stay in Jackson I would diffently stay here again.

We stayed in one of the hotel rooms for 1 night after our visit to Yellowstone and were very pleased!!

We had stayed in a cabin at the beginning of our trip and liked it so much that we decided to stay here at the end as well.

The rooms are very large and we got a great rate of $103 including tax (AAA rate) when we made the reservation just a couple of days prior to arrival.
We thought this was a great bargain and actually wish we would've stayed in one of the hotel rooms instead of the cabins at the beginning of our trip.

We actually felt we had more space to move around in the room versus the cabin. We DID enjoy the cabin, especially for the quaint feel of it, and it had a kitchenette, but if you don't require a kitchenette, the rooms are great!

There was a small refrigerator and microwave, cable TV, 2 comfortable queen beds.
The bathroom had a separate sink outside of the bathroom with a nice large countertop.
The bathroom had a good tub/shower combo.

We also liked that the rooms are accessed from an indoor hallway.

As I say in my review of the cabin:
There was free wi-fi in the rooms!
We liked the location as it was only a 5-10 minute walk to the town square and very close to restaurants, groceries, etc.
The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly!
They recommended Bubba's BBQ across the street, and we were happy they did! We had dinner there, and it was so good we went back for breakfast the next day!

We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely stay here again, (which we did as I mentioned).
Highly recommended!

We stayed in a three queen bed room with a loft and kitchenette for 2 nights at the AAA rate of $126 per night plus tax. Our room was spotless; everything was well kept up, and the hotel looks as if it had been recently remodeled. The room has rustic decor with log/wooden beds, but still is very up-to-date and modern with the nice granite-looking bathroom sink counter top and adequate lighting. There was a TV downstairs as well as one in the loft, which I thought was nice, and the beds were really comfortable! The people at the front desk were extremely friendly and nice, as well. The location is great, too. It is about 5-6 blocks from the town square of Jackson, but still near the corner of the main road so you have acess to all parts of the town. If we ever get to come back to Jackson, this is definately were we will stay!

I stayed at the Elk Country Inn for nine nights with my sister in one of the cabins. The bedroom with two queen beds was perfect for two people. One side of each bed is against the wall so more than two adults might be a little uncomfortable. A third adult could easily sleep on the sleeper sofa.

The living room/kitchen area was nice. There was a sleeper sofa, a small table with two chairs, a small TV on the wall, a little refrigerator/freezer, a microwave, a toaster, and two stovetop burners. There is no oven so don't expect to cook anything that requires one. There was a Rubbermaid tote that was filled with utensils, bowls, plates, and a couple of pots and pans.

The Inn is in a great location within walking distance of pretty much everything in downtown Jackson (make sure to go to Bubba's BBQ across the street) and the prices were very competitive for the area. The cabins were clean and comfortable and you don't have to worry about noise from other cabins or making too much noise yourself. The front desk people were very friendly and the cleaning staff did a great job. I hope to go back to Jackson sometime and I will definitely stay at the Elk Country Inn.

One note: the pictures for the cabins on the Inn's website do not show a door beween the bedroom and living room/kitchen area. It looked like the door in our cabin had been built after the cabin was built. I don't know if all the cabins are like this but you could ask. It was really nice to have a door to block out the light but the wall did not go all the way up to the ceiling so noise did carry from one room to the next.

We spent almost a week at the Elk Country Inn in Jackson in March this year and used it as a base to go snowboarding at Jackson Hole and Grand Targhee ski resorts.

We stayed in one of the log cabins which had a separate double queen bedroom and living space including a small kitchen area. There was convenient parking right outside our cabin.

The kitchen was equipped with a microwave, a fridge with a small freezer section and a double hob. A collection of pans were provided along with cutlery and plastic crockery. We were very grateful for these facilities when I wasn't well during our stay. There is coffee and tea available at the reception area and a coffee maker in the room. We made a lot of use of the Jackson Whole Grocer at 974 W Broadway which had a great selection of organic and natural products.

There is hot air heating in the cabin and this was very effective.
The complex has a large indoor hot tub, and also has laundry facilities.

We had a couple of mornings of fresh snow, and the staff were out clearing the drive and pathways before we were up and about - a great service.

The Elk Country Inn is a short walk from the cafes, restaurants and shops of Jackson.

We stayed as we were in Jackson for a weeks skiing. Very clean cabin, cosy and warm. We had a good stay, great to have a log cabin and to wake up to fresh snow. The cabin had a little kitchen and equipment. We didn't actually cook because we at at Planet Palate, an awesome organic restauarant in town, but the fridge in the cabin was welcome.

Comfy bed and nice hot bath. We'd definately stay again. Washing machine and driers. Walking distance to town, near Post Office and a great find.
