Staff were friendly and informative. Displays of local history and living conditions were well put together and interesting. two locations on for settler history and another for local Indian culture. Both were well worth the visit

We were able to see both museums for $5. The photographs are wonderful and show a past time when Jackson was a western, ranch town instead of the current tourist, transplanted yuppie town. The lady in the book shop recommended some great reading material on old Jackson and even gave us a poster of the Tetons.

This is such a fun museum--great way to learn how early settlers survived the harsh winters Jackson Hole evinced. Incidentally, it started pouring while we were in the museum... As we prepared to walk back to our hotel in the rain--only one of us had a w
Waterproof windbreaker on, the museum hostess took pity on us and called our hotel to find out if there was a shuttle which could come get us...(There was a shuttle; we were saved from the downpour!)

I understand that both museums are small and are kinda far from each other. But they are a great value. They show the history of the nature, Native Americans, and the pioneers that lived in Jackson Wyoming. We enjoyed it though it be small and it had different stories. The point was to take the people back to the time of the wild west. To see the world of the first settlers and inhabitants of Wyoming. So I do believe it is worth going. And they had a special offer of the cost of one museum for two. And we only paid for the one half for both museums. The other half of the museum is found by a Japanese restaurant. Also, to get to the other half of it, you will walk from it to their Allie then to gill st. then take a left till you see a building with a covered wagon.
