Excellent choice of fresh and healthy food. Great friendly service. Wish all supermarkets were like this.

If you are planning to get groceries in Jackson, Wyoming, make sure to go to the Whole Grocer! In my opinion, the freshest produce, good stuff in the bulk bins (check out the dried strawberries and the whole wheat apricot "newtons"), nice cheeses, good selection of snacks that aren't full of artificial stuff... There's also a liquor store attached, in case you'd like some good local beer to go with those après ski snacks... :)

The staff couldn't be bothered to answer my simple questions or to even return a 'hello'. Regardless of this, the store is interesting and has a wonderful array of quality foods and goods. I would highly recommend the staff go through customer service training to make the experience 5 star!

We shopped here for food several times during our stay in Jackson in September. They have fantastic range of foods and we were able to source excellent fresh bread and delicious strong cheese slices. Coming from the UK we crave really simple food - good quality ham and cheese sandwiches using really strong flavored cheese. We were so pleased to be able to source simple wholesome foods here that we ate picnics much of the time we were here. Good value and excellent quality with good service too.

First of all, this is a grocery store and not a restaurant. Keeping in mind that Jackson is a small town with fewer than 10,000 year round residents, the Jackson Whole Grocer (a word play on Jackson Hole, which only tourists call the area, and Whole Foods) is a great little market. It has everything a big supermarket would have as well as an extensive organic produce section, lots of "bin" bulk items, interesting organic canned and bottled goods, and interesting frozen products (various buffalo cuts, etc.) The butcher shop is fantastic, with great fresh seafood and good cuts of meat from local farms. There is a nice coffee/juice bar and an area with freshly prepared food and an OK salad bar. There are some very tasty take out containers (mac and cheese). The store is about the size of a grocery store you'd expect in the early sixties and not today's cavern but handy and have everything. The parking lot is a little crowded and the package store is limited. (There is a much better wine store adjacent to Albertson's) but the staff is friendly and helpful, particularly the butchers. A good supplement department for a store of this size. OK, the prices are higher than Natural Grocer's or Trader Joe's but it is the best selection of natural and organic products in Wyoming west of Casper and the best butcher shop in Wyoming. I shop here anytime I go through Jackson or stay in Jackson.
