“Commune with nature.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 May 2012

I have gone to Granite Hot Springs at least once every year for the last 25 years. Their are many hot springs, but Granite sits at the base of a beautiful mountain and in the most gorgeous natural setting. The 30 minute ride in is stunning and just prepares you for this special place.

“Spectacular waterfall and hot springs”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 May 2012

Best to drive down to the waterfall and hot springs, but in the winter you can snowmobile to them, or in summer you can mountain bike up the gravel road, stop at the hot springs and bike back partially along single track. Also makes for a great multiple day hike end point starting at either Cache Creek or Goodwin lake to camp at the magnificent Turquoise Lake.

“You don't need a tour in winter”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 April 2012

We had a family of 5 and a tour would have cost us $1000. We found a good rental company across the street from The Lexington that rented two snowmobiles and all the kit and the rental of their truck for just over $300. It was great to take the snowmobiles out when we wanted and to be in the snowy wilderness with no one else around. The Hot Springs were one of the highlights of our 3 week road trip from Jackson to SF.

“Not so great”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 April 2012

First you will encounter a ten mile journey down a horrible dirt road full of pot holes. Don't be surprised if your drive takes you almost an hour. Then you come to a facility which is poorly supplied of any sort of amenity. Then you get to swim in water which is hardly even warm. You might be better off to forget the pool and simply take a walk in the woods and gather mushrooms.

“A must while in Jackson!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 April 2012

We visited Granite Hot Springs while on a snowmoblie tour. Because our guide was so awesome, he got us to the hot springs before anyone else was there and we were able to enjoy the hot springs before it got so packed that you could hardly move. thanks to our local guide for doing that for us! Definately a must see and experience while in Jackson. Something to be said about swimming when it is 24 degrees. Good times.
