Very close to our hotel (Snow King Resort), so we made a reservation and we were seated upon arrival. We were told that no outside tables were available, yet saw other groups without reservations get moved from inside to outdoors. We received water and menus promptly, but it took more than 15 minutes for our waiter to acknowledge us. He apologized saying that they were 'quietly busy' and took our order. 20 minutes later the salad arrived, but not wine. After 30 minutes we inquired about the wine and this person went to inquire about it. 15 minutes later when the wine arrived, our server came back by (the first time he had checked on us since taking our order) and apologized for the delay in wine service saying it's all my fault. We inquired about dinner and he returned 10 minutes later to say it shouldn't be to much longer and sure enough about 10 minutes later our food arrived - more than an hour from when we ordered. All 4 meals were overcooked and when he presented the bill we informed him of this - his response was 'the cook has been having a bad night' An email to the manager that evening was answered promptly - here is his response - Truly sorry for your experience, or lack there of and the inconvenience. Being short staffed is not an excuse for poor service and/or quality of product. That being said, try Rendezvoud Bistro or Trio for a good dining experience. They have been around quite awhile and have a well tenured staff. Needless to say we did not try any of the restaurants this manager recommended and I recommend that you cross these 3 off your list when visiting Jackson Hole.
