“Wonderful hotel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 January 2014

My wife and I stayed at this hotel and were immediately impressed upon driving up to the property. The hotel has a true lodge feel and my wife was especially tickled to death with the bears and raccoons carved all around. Our room was spacious full with amenities such as Keurigs, rain showers, and soft linens. Breakfast was filling and the thick cut bacon was satisfying. The location is conveniently spaced between the square and other locations. The entire staff was helpful, especially drivers, Zane & Dustin, who were full of good suggestions and all around hospitality. I'd definitely recommend this hotel for anyone coming to Jackson/Jackson Hole.

This hotel is a prime example of a small establishment that's beating the luxury brands at their own game. The rooms are luxurious, the beds are like heaven, and it's quiet. The little bears carved into the woodwork everywhere are cute little surprises that add a delightful sense of humor to your stay. You never know, one of them might be "peeking" in your window. About the only drawback to the hotel is that it's just a little far from the town square. There are plenty of good dining options right around the corner, but to get to town you'd want to drive. We travel to Jackson at least once a year. We've stayed at this hotel a few times and I don't think we'll be staying anywhere else any time soon.

Room Tip: Go for a mini-suite with fireplace in the new wing.

We stayed here over New Year. It is good the rooms are small. We got a king with pullout sofa. we have two kids 4 and 7 and this rooms is a little small for a family. When we first got their they had us on first floor facing parking lot right behind the front desk. I was extremely dissatisfied with the room and they moved us to the 2 nd floor. Shuttle to the Mountain is usually full but bus stops right outside hotel and easy to get to Teton Village. Overall nice property. If you have kids get the room with two queens. Free breakfast is okay not great. But coffee is good and hot. We would just eat and go get on bus to Teton Village. Front desk staff seemed swamped and came of as put out by any questions but overall not a bad place to stay.

Room Tip: if you have kids get a room with two queens we were cramped with the king and pullout

Thank you for staying with us. We are sorry to here that we did not exceed your expecations. December is definitely a very busy time for us, but that should not give cause for our staff to not have time to help a guest with questions or concerns. We hope that you will visit again in the future so that we can prove to your family that we are dedicated to making each guest happy and comfortable in our lodge.

We stayed several days over New Year's with a larger party and had a great visit. The staff was very helpful, the rooms clean and spacious enough. We enjoyed the pool area. Breakfast was good. Location is convenient (especially if you have your own car). If you stay in Jackson (rather than Teton Village) to ski JHMR, this is the closer end of town for you. Decent laundry facility on site was a big help. Good food within walking distance and most everything else within a mile or two.
We would stay again and recommend to others.

We decided to ring in the new year in Jackson Hole, WY. We randomly picked this hotel and booked the trip. It turned out to be a great decision! The room was comfortable and quiet. We never heard people in the halls or through the walls at night (we stayed on the 2nd floor). The shower was walk in with a rain and a regular showerhead. The mini fridge and Keurig were nice to have. We were able to walk to restaurants and use the bus stop out front to get around town. They offered a shuttle to and from the hotel from the airport and a shuttle for skiers to JH mountain (not sure about others, we only went to JH). The breakfast every morning was awesome and offered many different items (eggs, yogurt, fruit, toast, bagels, cereals, muffins, pastries, etc.). Dustin ran us to Kmart for some items (courtesy shuttle) and Marty brought us to the hotel (after our plane was delayed 2 hours and we got in way later than expected). Both of them were very helpful on where to eat and what to do in Jackson Hole. One of the women working the desk was very helpful with maps and explaining how to get places. The staff was very professional. The only real issue we had was the heat. Even when we turned the thermometer down to 62, it was still too hot and we ended up turning on the air conditioner. We meet some other people staying at the hotel that were from Miami, FL and they opened their window and turned on the a/c, so maybe it's just us southerners?! There was one issue with the shuttle, so you should know that you need to book your airport transfers with the hotel beforehand and understand their shuttle boundaries (JH only). Also, it's "first come" to use it. We had plans in Grand Teton NP and decided to rent a car for one day to do that (taxi = $30 each way) and just return it when we left the next day. With that said, we bumped our flight and ended up being put up at the Snow King Resort, so I was able to stay in two different places on the trip.

We are glad to hear that you are pleased with your vacation here with us. Jackson has so much to offer and our bellstaff definitely love to share their favorite spots with guests. Being too warm in the winter is definitely a new one for us, but always better than being too cold! :)
If you are ever back in our area we would love for you to stay with us again!

My family stayed here over New Years for a quick ski trip and this place suited our needs perfectly. Even while staying over New Year's our room was restfully quiet. For us, it was nice to stay in town and drive up to the ski hill, so that we could walk into town for dinner and explore the town a bit (there was a ski shuttle but we opted to drive so we could stay for apres ski and not stress about missing the shuttle).

My girls really enjoyed the hot tubs and pool, although I'd have liked the hot tubs to be a little hotter.

Our room was great- very clean, comfy beds, beautiful bedding. The rooms were fairly large and it was nice having the extra sofa/sitting area to set up for playing games. The bathroom was big, too - which helps when there are 3 females simultaneously drying hair and applying makeup!

I was pleased that breakfast included a wide variety of fresh fruits as well as the standard scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns, cereals, granola, toast. The breakfast staff worked really hard to make sure that all of the choices were constantly being replenished and kept the eating area cleared and spotless.

The front desk and bell staff were also very friendly and eager to help and were very forthcoming with dining suggestions and tips for getting the most out of our ski trip.

One fun thing that we did after skiing was to drive through the National Elk Preserve, where we spotted elk, trumpeter swan, coyotes, big horn sheep and moose - all within 10 minutes and right on the edge of town. My kids loved this, especially the big horn sheep.

We loved skiing at JHMR - a wide variety of terrain, beautiful snow, incredible views - and will be back, for sure!

Thank you for staying with us on your recent trip to Jackson. We certainly agree that our location in town is convenient to get to the ski hill while still being close to the town square for great dining and shopping options. We strive to make each guests visit as great as it can be. The Elk Refuge is always a wonderful place for wildlift spotting. We hope that you will choose us when you return to the area in the future!

We drove up to meet friends who were staying in Teton Village. We were very pleasantly surprised at how nice this hotel is. The room was nicely appointed. The only downside with room 100 was that it was close to the ski lockers. It was noisy in the evening and in the morning when people were getting fitted for skis and boots.

We enjoyed breakfast. It was tasty with a lot of choice. The driver that drove the complimentary shuttle to Jackson Hole stopped to show us a moose on the way to the mountain. He shared lots of interesting information about moose and local history on the way to and from the mountain.

Finally, they offered a late check out without our even asking. We would stay here again.

Thank you for staying here at The Lodge. We are happy to hear it was to your liking. That locker area can get a little hectic during the busy holiday season, sorry about that. We hope that does not deter you from staying with us again in the future, as we would love to have you back!
