“Nice overnight accommodations, friendly and helpful staff”
Reviewed 4 October 2013

Typical Comfort Inn property - room was roomy, clean, comfortable, well-maintained. Price was competitive with other mid-range chain hotels. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was typical for the mid-range chain hotels - decent selection and quality, but nothing special.

We satyed at the Comfort Inn in Laramie, WY 8-25-13 for two nights. The Lobby and indoor pool area was nice and clean. We had pool all alone Sun evening. Our room was ok nothing over the top but what we needed. It was clean. Now the bad part. They say they have a hot breakfast. Our first morning we went down there was young log haired girl employee that looked like she just got out bed. she was playing with her hair. The food cold scrambled eggs and meat cold and nasty. Luke warm breakfast to say the best. The next morning it was not much better. otherwise it was good place to stay.

Pleasant appearance and nice staff. The pool and the breakfast room typical of what most hotels offer. The location was good for our journey to the west. As I recall the State prison was there and that was quite nice. The prison is no longer operation. It is well maintained.

Room Tip: Just tell them in advance of what you require.

I had researched the Laramie Wyoming motel market usinjg triple A and had inte4nded to stay at the Best Wwestern located in the city. The Comfort Inn at the east end of town offered better rartes with similar or superior amenities. Scott at the front desk checked us in and made suggestions for eating places and for my research on family history. The service was excellent, the room clean, the pool was usable (not kidney or circular in shape) and access to I-80 was very good.

Room Tip: rooms on the street side are quieter than the south side due to on-going construction of apartments...

I saw the previous complaints here, but I have to say, we were pleased with our stay, and our room. Everything was very clean, very nice furniture. Had a desk with a chair, plus a table with 2 chairs. The sink was outside the bathroom, which is a plus! There was an in room safe if you chose to use it, which we didn't . They automatically added a small fee for use of the safe ($1.50) that was refunded if you didn't use it, but you had to ask at the time you checked out. They pointed this out when we checked in. There was a fridge and microwave, flatscreen TV, and coffee pot. Beds were comfortable, room was quiet, linen very nice, thick towels.
Nice breakfast with lot of variety, but eggs and sausage were only lukewarm; noticed this at another Comfort inn, so I suspect they don't keep the warming pan very hot to prevent burns and lawsuits.
We didn't have any parking issues, and we were in for the night around 7pm.
I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Staff was friendly, price was good, too. It suited our needs for the one night we stayed there!

We slept quite well...happy to have gotten a room..we were just passing through and apparently a conference was taking place in town, leaving a room anywhere almost laughable...no really .. one clerk did laugh when I called for a room...anyways...I was happy with the front desk and their customer service, we were latecomers and two after us were in the same boat, never felt like we ere inconveniencing the staff. That is how we should feel, very welcomed...so great job on that. The breakfast was quite good, how can you complain when you can make your own waffle, eat eggs either hard boiled or scrambled, yes probably a mix so not fresh whipped eggs but I suppose that is standard, I went for the hard boiled...and my kids liked the sausage and toast, yogurt, the usual....we found the beds to be cozy and the room clean...what more could you need? The review that states this hotel was horrible may be comparing to a 5 star hotel, last I checked this is a chain called Comfort Inn...family friendly...not the Ritz Carlton

Room Tip: Pool was nice for kids, indoor and pretty clean, the hot tub was not used by us

We checked in Monday afternoon, June 3, 2013. Stayed one night - thankfully it was only one night. This Comfort Inn in Laramie, WY, was recently rated on TripAdvisor and on the Choice Hotel site with several stars and positive comments. Really? Because that would have to be a hotel other than this one on Grand Avenue.

We stayed right off the lobby in the handicap accessible room. There was a strong engine oil smell in the room. After several complaints, housekeeping sprays and keeping the window open all night, the smell was rank even in the morning. We turned off the air conditioner. Worse, upon checking into our room there was one towel and one washcloth - period. Complaining brought some towels and washcloths with an apology to provide some refund credit on the room. We received a $10 credit only AFTER getting the full charge bill, then complaining again, then asking for a receipt again. Wow. Amazing. No room to park at all - what was the hotel chain thinking when this license was granted?

Bed was too hard, halls narrow and dark. Shower did not work well. Very dated property in real need of so much. Breakfast was marginal at best. So, how in the blazes does this hotel even get a single "star", let alone several "spots"? It was not terrible - it was horrible!

Room Tip: Stay at the Hampton or anywhere else - but don't pick the Comfort Inn in Laramie, Wyoming

Thank you for taking the time to call into Choice Hotels to voice your concern over our stay with us on June 3, 2013 I was sorry to hear that your stay wasn’t up to our standards. I have gone over several of the issues you discussed with the staff when I first heard of them after your stay. The housekeeping issues where addressed with not only with the person that was assigned to your room, but also with the front desk staff on how better to handle the situation. I would like the opportunity to discuss with you the steps that where taken, as well as what I can do to make sure that this doesn’t happen again.

I hope we will have the pleasure of serving you again soon. Thank you again for your comments and for choosing the Comfort Inn of Laramie.
