I stayed here one night and wish I could have stayed more. This place is absolutely beautiful!! The breakfast was really yummy and the innkeepers were great to talk with. I would recommend to anybody. Stayed in the blossom room and the bed was very comfy.

We stayed at the Inn for 1 night, the rooms are small and you have to walk outside your room to use the bathroom. The TV in the room is located inside the wall and very difficult to view, could be relocated or modified easily. The room is nicely furnished and the bed is comfortable, only room for 1 chair in the room. If you are larger than most people it,s a little cramped, but you are only staying over, not buying the place. The wood work in the house is outstanding, the Mad Carpenter really did a great job.

The location is 2 blocks or less from U Wyoming, and you can walk to many places, a parking pass is available from the owners to park on the street. There is a small pond near the front side of the house to sit by, unfortunately there were a lot of bird droopings (poop) on the seating so we were unable to use this area, the owner's should walk around to see what needs to be cleaned.

The owners rent rooms to Girls from the University and live on the property so there is noise from the stairs going to the upper levels. The breakfast is continental style and you serve yourself, lot's of items with carbs and sugar, no one asked if we had any dietary needs,Ii prefer an individually prepared breakfast myself.

I recommend this nice place as it is reasonable, $85 and $95, and $120 for the doll house out back. We will return, but will most likely stay in the doll house for the additional room and amenities.

What an amazing place. The house is a tribute to an excellent tradesman. Stayed in the Dollhouse and was the envy of all the other guests. Attention to detail is amazing from the woodwork to the breakfast. Truly an unforgettable experience.

Two steps inside the front door and I was completely at home. No tensions or pretensions here. The inn provides a relaxed atmosphere, and as others have noted, it is within easy walking distance of the beautiful university campus and the historic downtown. Lawrence and Danny are so accommodating, and we left feeling like we had made new friends. I hope we can return there again soon. For those who like local history, be sure to talk with Lawrence about his book that chronicles the story of the nearby mining town of Hanna.

We stayed for just one night at the start of our holiday and wished we could have stayed longer!

Everything about this b&b was just perfect. We stayed in 'Blossom' and had a very comfortable night. Breakfast the next morning was superb with everything being fresh and homemade. The owners put heart and soul into looking after their guests. It's also very handy for walking into the beautiful downtown area with lots of individual shops, restaurants and cafes.

If we are ever anywhere in the vicinity we will certainly stay again. It was one of the highlights of our 3 week trip.

We stayed at The Mad Carpenter for two nights during a recent visit to the University of Wyoming. I cannot recommend this B&B enough! The home is beautiful, the innkeepers are gracious, the food was delicious and the location is convenient. We stayed in the Whimsy and it was amazing.....it contained all the conveniences you expect from luxury hotel, and more! A small refrigerator was stocked with juices and water for us and a chocolate was waiting bedside when we retired. Our bed was very comfortable, with soft sheets and a fluffy comforter. The bathroom was stocked with luxury toiletries, including toothbrushes, toothpaste, razors, soaps, shampoo/conditioner, etc. I enjoyed the soft and fluffy towels, too! The room had cable TV, a ceiling fan, a writing desk, and ample closet space. But the best part was the conversations we had with Lawrence and Danny. They make the experience of a B&B that much more enjoyable! We left too early for breakfast on our departure day and Danny packed us a breakfast basket for our road trip home - it was filled with baked goods, granola bars, fresh fruit, hardboiled eggs, and juices. It was a nice treat to end our great stay at The Mad Carpenter. Don't miss this place if you are ever finding yourself staying in Laramie!

We stayed at the Mad Carpenter Inn for one night and had a very enjoyable time. The inn is within walking distance of downtown and the university. So after a long day traveling, you don’t have to drive. Rooms are comfortable and clean and come complete with little chocolate treats! During a wonderful breakfast, we had an interesting conversation with the other guests. The “Mad Carpenters” love for his craft shows in the word work in the Inn. The only problem was that we were staying for just one night.
