What a wonderful place to stay! The proprietor of this motel is extremely nice and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable. How nice to have radiant heat instead of that noisy forced air! We'll stay here again!

While you might not build a vacation around a stay at this motel, it's alright for a night or two. Our room was clean, the bed linens ok and we had our own fridge. The night clerk was right friendly and helpful when we asked for some directions to an off-the-beaten-path spot in the surrounding mountains.

After a drive up and down Main Street, we certainly felt that this was our best lodging option in Lovell. Seems like a number of other folks writing reviews tend to agree. Again, not swanky by any means, but on the other hand, your wife won't be up all night wondering what's going to crawl across her next. :)

The folks that run this motel are very friendly and kind, the Bighorns are beautiful, and it's nice to get off the beaten path of freeway driving. But this area of WY is clearly loaded with speed traps... I would recommend driving well under the limit if you are from out of state. Do not go over 30 until you are well past the 65 mph sign. May be best to avoid this area altogether....too risky. Wish I would have been forewarned:). But the motel is safe and fine.

We stayed here just one night on a driving vacation, and were quite happy with the accommodations. The room was very clean and tidy, and the beds felt great. The outside looks pretty dated, and is not appealing, but we chose it based on the reviews of others and were not disappointed. They have coffee and some fruit in the morning, but no breakfast. Good price, though.
I walked down to a Conoco station just two blocks away and had two cups of Acadia Coffee while I read the paper and let my wife sleep in. They have a nice setup for the coffee, where you can choose your preferred strength and add half-n-half or French Vanilla creamers. They also have four flavors of syrup. Not a coffee shop, by any means, but not bad.
The Branding Iron had good food, where we ate the evening we arrived, and the wait staff was very friendly, but a little expensive, I thought.

Stayed for a couple of days for a wedding reception. Good location right off the main road. Right next to a convenience store and a couple of places to eat. Room was clean. Weather was very cold (it was December) but the room was very warm and comfortable.

The staff was friendly and helpful. We were told we were getting a "kitchenette", although it only amounted to a microwave, fridge and roster with no plates, pots/pans, or utensils. There is a small working counter but there is no lighting in this area; very dark. There is a Weber grill available in a gazebo, however.
The sheets are thin enough to see through and we did hear the people next door once or twice. the carpet is clearly old and it looks like some holes in the wall were patched by nailing an old piece of panelling on there. The bathroom faucet seemed to have been repaired by someone who was not a plumber; you turn it two turns before any water comes out.
The heating unit looks problematic; I'm not sure I would stay here in the winter. The AC was fine, we ran it all night to provide background noise because a semi truck was running it's engine most of the time within 50 ft of our door.
The continental breakfast was marginal but better than nothing and kept us from spending $20 in a cafe.
This place is OK for Lovell. I thought it was slightly overpriced at $68 however. The place down the street with the Asian restaurant only charged $55 which is more in line with the small town prices and average quality of these places.
