We chose Hatchet for a one night stay before taking a horsepack trip into the Teton Wilderness. It was not to far from the airport and close to our start point. Hatchet was quite nice, very laid back, recently refurbished, and very affordable.

My kids and I stayed here one night, while on a three week cross-country road trip. This hotel is a bit tricky to find--confusing at least as there is a Hatchet Ranch and then a campground as well.

I enjoyed the cute cabin facing of the hotel. There are chairs in front of each room section for relaxing moments during the day. It was rustic and quaint--but not really resort like. :) That is a bit of creative marketing. There is also a small playground area my daughter enjoyed and the food was good, if a bit overpriced.

They kind of have a monopoly on food prep due to the distance from the closest large town of Jackson Hole approximately 30 min away. Food prices in the Tetons area are actually quite expensive, even at the Villages inside the National Park. Be aware.

Hatchet had all of the things it advertised. The beds were comfortable, the room very clean and attractively decorated. There is a gift shop/store where you can find some souvenirs, clothing or snacks. It is located close to the very picturesque Oxbow Bend, a riverview of the Tetons range.

All of that being said, I would stay here again.

My daughter and I enjoyed the cute room, good beds, quiet. Didn't have a issue with some of the problems others described. However, we agree it is not all you would expect of a "resort" and the wifi charge we paid did not work.

On our way to Yellowstone National park we stayed in this hotel. We arrived evening after a long drive, Grill is not open but Bar and Restaurant is open. We liked the food very well.

Lots of mosquitos, it is not a complaint about the hotel, just a caution to be aware of the situation. Keep the room doors closed as much as possible. We kept the doors open for moving the luggage, lots of mosquitos entered inside.

It may not be a fancy place with lots of amenities, but it is a nice place to stay near national forests. Except the part of mosquitos, we like it very well.

You think a "resort" is going to be fancy and have lots of amenities. Not here. It is one of the few places to stay, so they have an advantage. It is a string of rooms on a highway and they have added playground equipment, nice landscaping, a pricey, beautiful restaurant, and an expensive shower. Except the shower clearly hadn't been cleaned. When I complained, the streaks and hair were better, but not much. The bathroom outlet works for 20 sec, then dies. No amenities in the room, such as coffee maker, hair dryer, iron & board, refrig.

I just stayed three days in Hatecht Resort Last week. As far as Resport goes, it was awesome!

There is a Hatchet Grill next to the Hatchet Resort. Morning Breakfast is also good but BE AWARE OF CHEATER in HATECHET GRILL. There is guy age between 28-32 who servers breakfast and he is rude and dont know how to provide the service. Since it wasn't nice experience with him so I didnt feel to give him a Tips.

After reaching home, when I look at my account he himself added 5$ to the bill as a TIP without notifying me. This is crime and he must be doing with others also. I am trying to call the hatchet staff but they are not responding in a nice manner. Just avoid using CREDIT CARD in Hatecht grill since there is a CHEATER.

BE CAREFUL with this guy but other staff is good.

Room Tip: They are working base on the trust so no need to worry. You will get the best room.

We stayed in the Mt Randolph cabin next to the office area over the July 4th weekend. Other reviews complained about the noise from the highway, we were never there during the day due to visiting both National Parks. I'm sure the highway is quite busy during the day. After 8 or 9pm the traffic on the road became non-existent. It's good base to visit both National Parks- Yellowstone and Grand Teton. The cabin could use a ceiling fan or at least bring a small fan to move the air at night. There are all kinds of wildlife in the area, in fact we saw two grizzlies on the highway towardsTogwotee pass which is only a few miles East of Hatchet Resort. Food and service at the resort was good. The bartender multi-tasks but does an excellent job and provides good conversation. If you are traveling with a pet like we were the resort is pet friendly. There wasn't an ice machine but they had bags of ice that you could purchase. Overall I thought the stay was good and both parks are awesome.
