“Last of a dying breed”
Reviewed 6 November 2012

There just doesn't seem to be any consistency with the Skyline. Sometimes it's great, sometimes it's okay, sometimes it's poor. Sad, because it used to be a GEM. Food can be anything from canned to top-notch. Prices are good. Service depends upon the person you get. It has a quaint atmosphere, but that can be a distraction, too.

“True small-town diner”
Reviewed 15 October 2012

You haven't officially been to Powell until you stop at the Skyline. Full of locals and great friendly waitresses. The food comes out hot and fresh and the prices are very fair. The Skyline is an "old school" diner -- not a five star restaurant -- and we really enjoyed sitting at the counter, reading a paper and getting a feel for life in Powell. If you get there, ask for Kym (waitress).

“I would go back.”
Reviewed 15 September 2012

This is a place where all the locals go. The waitresses called most folks there by name. We were starred at when we came in so it's a dead give away. LOL The food was good, it was HOT and the service was pleasant.

“Inexpensive Lunch”
Reviewed 7 August 2012

Stopped for a late breakfast/lunch. Ended up having the lunch special and the salad bar. Food was good, service was quick. Quite a few customers came in where while we were there and they all got served quickly. Looked like many were regulars, we were just passing thru to Yellowstone. Friendly waitresses and good service.

“Huge food, but tasty”
Reviewed 1 July 2012 via mobile

We were hungry and tired. This place caught our eye as we drove by. We had pancakes, eggs, sausage and French toast. The food was fresh and tasty. My daughter and I shared the homemade meatloaf. It was amazing and the mashed potatoes were actual real potatoes. The total for the four of us was under $30. I would come back.
