The Lodge and Spa at Brush Creek Ranch
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed 4 January 2014

My wife, two daughters and I just returned from our third trip to Brush Creek Ranch. Having been there the past two Summers, we decided to visit the ranch for a week over the New Year. While our vacation experience was decidedly different in the Winter than the Summer it was no less spectacular. Instead of trail rides, fly fishing and hiking we rode indoors, ice fished, and went snow shoeing and cross country skiing.

The setting is very casual with family style dinners, however, don't let this fool you....the food and wine both in quality and service is some of the finest that I have ever had. If you don't care for what is being served, just ask. The staff will do their very best to accommodate your needs and desires. If you would like a particular meal or a private meal, with just a little notice they will cater to your needs. For example, as a family we have had the traditional southern meal of ham, black eyed peas and collared greens for years as it is supposed to bring good luck. Two days before we left for BCR, I realized that I had neglected to ask for this meal. I made a quick call and they made it happen on short notice!

Finally, the staff at BCR from top to bottom remember your children's names, what they like to do and make it their job to ensure that all of their guests are enjoying their stay in every way possible.

Every time we leave this ranch, we have planned our next trip back!

Room Tip: The options are lodge rooms that accommodate two with adjoining rooms for young children or cabins t...

Stayed at the lodge 10/17-10/22/13 for a combination hunting and SPA trip. The facility is incredible with service to match. Food was great and the wine list was outstanding...note, don't even bother with the reserve list, their regular wines are excellent.

We've stayed at several lodges throughout the west and Brush Creek is by far the nicest facility with the best service.

Bird and big game hunting were very good, other lodges have better hunting but I certainly was not disappoointed and when you compbine the quality of the lodging and service, this place really stands out.

Room Tip: we stayed in the main lodge. Rooms are good but bathrooms are a little small for two people.

An amazing place to stay - like nothing we've done before! Great log cabin which required a golf buggy to travel to/from the main lodge where all the activities, food & spa are located. A huge range of fun activities to try - definitely something for everyone. Lovely food, especially the breakfasts. Superb scenery. Absolutely first class service - nothing was too much trouble and literally every member of staff was a joy to deal with. The only thing which was not 5* was the lighting in the cabin - it was too dark to pop your make-up on. Overall though a once in a lifetime trip which will stay with us forever. Very highly recommended.

There is not enough I can say in this review to do BCR justice. Staying at the ranch was one of the most unique and memorable experiences of my entire life. The property was breathtaking, the amenities top notch and the service exceptional. The most amazing thing about the ranch was they spared no expenses and left no detail unchecked to ensure every part of the guests experience was world class and memorable. The test of any travel destination is their attention to the little details that make an experience and BCR did the best job of any I have ever experienced. All aside the things that made the stay truly world class was the staff and level of service. This is one of the most amazing staffs I have ever experienced in any hospitality business. They were fun, kind, friendly, knowledgeable and above all went out of their way every opportunity they could to make guests feel welcome and special.

My favorite activites were the mountain biking, hiking, shooting range, archery range and fly fishing.

As far as food goes you are in for a treat! 4 star meals in a number of amazing settings.

BCR is a must stay!!!!!!

Room Tip: We stayed a cabin which i highly suggest. We had 6 people and were very comfortable.

We (4 adults and 4 kids ages 18-24) recently spent 5 activity filled days at Brush Creek Ranch. It is a magical place- the setting is incredible, the accommodations were beautiful, the staff and management are top-notch and we found all the activities professionally run. We participated in horseback riding, a cattle drive, shooting, hiking, fly-fishing, archery, ropes course, paintball, biking, square-dancing and more. Many of us had never done most of these activities before but the staff made us all feel welcome and we were so glad to have participated in everything! The food was abundant, varied and delicious. I have to say that Brush Creek exceeded our expectations and we would gladly return!

Our families which included four young adults and four of us in our 50s had a great experience here. We were here for 6 nights and would have been happy staying even longer. The staff is amazing, the scenery is awe-inspiring, the food was great and the cabins were wonderful.

The activities are the focus at this ranch and we did as much as we could and even then there was more to do. The activity staff were all knowledgeable and made each activity entertaining. We were always suprised at how much fun we had and learned that you just have to do everything even if you have no interest in it.

The dinners are high in entertainment value, whether it was the campfire night, or the country music that accompanies some of them. The food was high quality and the wait staff are amazing. You get to know everyone here and they make a real effort in getting to know you.
I loved the fact that you can ask any one of them for anything and it becomes part of their job to help you .

All in all, this was a perfect vacation, and I highly recommend it to kids of all ages.

Just returned from 5 beautiful days and nights at this beautiful luxury ranch. We came with soaring expectations and left with every one of them fulfilled. The setting was a perfect backdrop for our days of fishing, riding, shooting and hiking. We were guided in each activity by top-notch staff who gave us undivided attention and/or instruction and accomodated any possible request. We were taken out privately each time we fished and on two of our rides so that most everything we did was custom fit to our abilities and interests. Zack, Drake, Julie and Sara were among those who made our days a bit more special.
The ranch itself has a warm and homey feel starting with the frequent presence of owners Beth and Bruce White who mingled freely and made everyone feel like a personal guest. GM Mike regularly joined guests to shoot the breeze asked about our experiences. The staff throughout the facility was warm and responsive and kept us well-fed and pampered. Homey accomodations and four ranch dogs added to the feeling that you were a guest rather than a customer and the sunsets were scripted to end each day with a sigh. Shelby, Martha, Josh, Rosalind and Drew, among others, all contributed to make everything special. We are already talking about our return trip.
