The Lodge and Spa at Brush Creek Ranch
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed 30 July 2014

My wife and I had never been to this part of the country. We are seasoned travelers and typically go to Europe or the islands for vacation and big cities for a weekend quick trip. Who Knew that an oasis of this caliber was in some little town in Wyoming? only three hours from Denver ( and they get you there no car rentals required).
It is just the right combination of outdoor fun with shooting, fishing, archery, horses and the luxury of a 5 star resort for Food, wine, atmosphere and spa.
The "trail Boss" and COO Mike became a friend and looked out for us all week in more ways then I can fit in this space. Chris, Erin ( how did the 30th turn out?), Katie, Connor and Chef and the crew made sure we loved the dining experience. The activities staff Roslyn and Ryan and team made sure we were never bored. Kenny and Arwin in the saloon engaged in lively discussions and we tested new and exciting concoctions.
The gals at the SPA Karen, Tamara and Stephanie gave us an afternoon of relaxation.
Annie and Corinne in the concierge answered all our questions ahead of time and during the stay. My wife Elisa and Kaitlin the Yoga instructor spent every morning together( I cannot believe she could not wait for 6 a.m. not like her normally) Rachel and Marcus and the other guys at the range were instructional and fun. There are so many more people I would like to list I just cannot name them all. All new friends.
I run a business that is all about personalized service and there was no detail ignored, no request denied, no face without a smile, not a single negative person or event. It is so well run and so guest friendly that you felt at home and part of the Brush Creek Family upon arrival.
The Whites who own the place spared no expense in making this an amazing destination.
We will go back and they make it worth returning with an alumni discount.
Who Knew two Philadelphians would love being on a ranch. It is a truly unique place.
Look forward to seeing all my new friends again!!!

My wife and I and 2 girls (11 and 9) spent 7 days at the Lodge and Spa at Brush Creek Ranch over July 4th week 2014 and had the most amazing time. Prior to BCR we stayed at Paws Up in Montana for the July 4th week the 2 prior years before and we were ready to try something new. BCR did not disappoint!

We stayed in 2 of the lodge rooms and were very please at the central location being in the middle of all the action. The lodge rooms offer a family with younger children good options as you can hang out in the saloon and main lodge and the kids can go to sleep or be back in the room resting and it is no problem.

The food and beverage team did an outstanding job and everything from the drinks, wine, food and service was exceptional. The F&B team will do WHATEVER it takes to make sure you have what you need – they would make frequent trips to town for unique request from the guest. The Saloon is a great resting spot and Kenny the bar tender was best. The special attention he showed the kids was awesome and our kids are still talking about him.

There are plenty of activities that are all organized and well coordinated by Matt, Ryan and Ros. We did lot of fishing and happened to be at the ranch at a really special time as the fishing was epic on the Encampment River due to the annual Green Drake hatch. I have fished several times throughout the West and Adam Crowson is spot on in his leadership of the Orvis endorsed fly-fishing program. Experienced fly fisher or first time with a fly rod – they will have you catching fish day 1. I had the pleasure of catching a beautiful 24” Rainbow Trout on one of our float trips down the Encampment. The other activities were all great as well.

One of the main reasons we chose BCR this year over the other 2 ranches we were considering was because of their focus on the evening events and activities for the July 4th week – and they didn’t disappoint! We are huge music people and really enjoyed the nightly entertainment and activities that were planned.

All in all – the White Family and COO Mike Williams have done an impressive job with setting up BCR. They are very present and hands on, consistently working on improving all aspects of the operation and are clearly committed to investing whatever is needed to make this guest ranch the most well respected and luxurious ranch in the country.

To illustrate how impressive this place really is – the July 4th Week for 2015 was half booked by the guest from this year before we even left – that says it all!

Can’t wit for next summer !

We came with our two kids for a reunioin event in late June with several families. Trip was amazing and wanted to call out extraordinary service from Bella, Jasmen, Leslie, Shea, Maria, Paxton, Leslie, Ron, Kevin, Maxwell and Ryan.

Shooting run by Ron was fantastic. He's an instructor who can convey more information in fewer words than anyone we've ever encountered.

Horse riding and instructioin best in the West.

Our family of four just returned from the most wonderful vacation at Brush Creek Ranch. We spent the week of the 4th of July and it was spectacular. From the minute you arrive you know that you have arrived at a place that is very special and really a gift. The scenery is amazing, with wide open pastures with cattle and horses grazing alongside the deer and antelope. The mountains in the distance, rock formations, creeks and rivers, it is all amazing. The Ranch itself has a rustic elegance with a beautiful lodge and lovely restored cabins. These are luxurious cabins that are super enchanting and fun to stay in. We stayed in the Blacksmith cabin which had a queen and a bunk bed that was hidden behind a sliding barn door. Our boys loved this little hideaway. Our boys ages 11 and 13 absolutely loved every aspect of this vacation and can't wait to return. They were the perfect ages to enjoy every aspect of the ranch and all the wonderful activities which included archery, mountain biking, fly fishing, paintball battles, rock climbing, gun range, ropes course, cattle drive etc. It was a perfect adventure for our children.

Did I mention that I gained about 10 pounds while I was there. The food is outstanding and they pour it on. Everyone morning they start you off with a hearty ranch breakfast, then lunch that is delicious and always includes several fresh unique salads, several main dishes, a delicious soup or two and dessert! Then they top it off with a themed dinner or a lovely plated dinner. It is wonderful food and all of the food, drinks, wine and spirits are included. One evening they did a BBQ dinner creekside. I was expecting burgers and hotdogs but BCR served up lobster, salmon, chicken along with many delicious appetizers, sides and desserts. The food and service really is amazing. You have a favorite cocktail? The bartenders will learn it and have it ready for you!

Have I mentioned the live entertainment they provide every night? We were lucky to have a concert by CMA winner Maggy Rose which was intimate and amazing, they had a rodeo which was fun and entertaining and they delivered one of the best firework shows I have seen!

But the very best part of Brush Creek Ranch are the people that work there and the guests that stay there. The Ranch hires great people and trains them well. You can tell they want to make you happy and do their best to serve you well. They are enthusiastic about their jobs and they really enjoy working at BCR. The White Family and COO Mike Williams set the tone. They are super friendly, down to earth, and they genuinely want you to have a fabulous experience at BCR. The entire staff is incredible! We look forward to our next visit to BCR and creating more fabulous family memories.

Room Tip: If you have younger children it might be best to stay in the lodge but if you have a larger family o...

Just returned from an incredible July 4th week at Brush Creek Ranch, and we all agree it was the best vacation we have been on to date. The setting is breathtaking, the facilities are beyond compare, and the service impeccable. The staff is fabulous, and have managed to create a top-notch dude ranch experience that rivals summer camp as a kid. It was difficult to tell who had more fun, the kids or the adults. We have already booked to return next year, but will have a hard time waiting that long!! Thank you to the Whites, EVP/COO Mike, and their incredible staff for sharing their slice of heaven with us, and providing an incredible backdrop to create a wonderful family memory!

My daughter and I recently stayed at Brush Creek Ranch. The ranch itself is one of the most stunning properties I have even see anywhere in the world. It has that special something that cannot be defined by words it is magic. Beauty surrounds you everywhere you look there are creeks, mountains, ever changing majestic clouds, lightning and brilliant sun, pink sunsets and the calm windless dusk. The service was above and beyond a world class 5 star hotel. Not only did every single staff member exceed our expectations they do their job with all their heart. Our satisfaction was a personal matter and we felt it. There are so many activities to choose from. Many which were far outside my comfort zone but I always felt safe, supported and had an absolute blast. The lodge creates a convivial atmosphere and we made deep and personal connections with other guests. By doing various activities together and dining together the connections are authentic. While our other trips out of the country were "big" and full of history and information. This trip was deeply meaningful . My daughter and I discovered similarities and bonded in a way not possible at home. We were spoiled in every way. They even made my particular "green drink" every morning which had never been offered anywhere no less waiting for me every morning. Each meal was superb . You can be as healthy or as decadent as you want. All offerings were made for each meal. We could choose our wines from the cellar each night if we wanted although Chris always has a wonderful option as well. Just going in to the wide open cellar and reading through the selections was an experience. We met families from all over the country with very different stories but it all fell away at the ranch. Kids played freely with each other without judgment and there was a genuine camaraderie among the adults. The accommodations had stunning views were immaculately clean and we loved driving our ranger around the ranch. A visit to the gem of a spa offered a truly unforgettable massage and professional facial that can't be found in most cities. Well worth taking a little time to rejuvenate and clean up after a few days of getting dirty. Brush Creek Ranch will stay in your heart. It simply could not get better. We could not possibly give a higher recommendations. The ranch provides world class luxury with heart. Another benefit is that once you get to the ranch you never have to reach into your wallet! Tips are included in the price and only private lessons or special rides are extra charge that they work out after you have checked out. In sum the property is breathtaking, the accommodations are immaculate, the staff is first class, the activities are safe controlled and as fun as you want to make them! It does not get better than Brush Creek Ranch, We will be back.

This place could not be more perfect or beautiful. We stayed as a massive business group of nearly 80 people last year in June.

Our first day, we watched herds of horses running past the lodge where we were having tea and set out on a huge array of activities from archery, fly fishing, horse back riding, paintball, axe throwing...my goodness! There was SO much to do, even though I was tempted to simply sit and watch the amazing sunsets or watch the wildlife.

The service was fantastic. Every single person we encountered clearly loved their jobs and were wonderful in every aspect. The food is fantastic and the surroundings are just impossibly beautiful. I highly recommend this place for pretty much anything, whether it's a honeymoon, a family retreat, a business trip or even a solo trip. The ranch is so spread out that you could really go without catching sight of another guest if you really didn't want to.

The food quality absolutely did not suffer, despite our huge groups! The spa is unbelievable. I've received some of the best massages here in my entire life.

I can't wait to go back!
