If this were a Super 8 it would have been good. But a Holiday Inn--just average. First the door would not open without a swift kick. As we left the room the last time we figured out that if you lifted the handle the latch would clear the door jamb. Apparently this Holiday Inn does not have a maintenance man. The room was an interior room and very dark. Apparently Holiday Inn could not affort anything but a 40 watt bulb. The sink in the bathroom had a seven foot counter (which was nice) but the sink was only 12 inches across. I think it may have come out of travel trailer. Finally, at 6:00 a.m. we awoke to the sound of a barking dog outside our door. Holiday Inn needs to decide whether they are running a hotel/motel or a boarding kennel.

I was disappointed with the location of this hotel...off the intersate and a drive to the downtown area.
On the positive side, I got a great room rate and there was a fun bar/restaurant.
The room itself was quiet and was nicely appointed.

The hotel looks good and smells great. We were disappointed that the washer was out of order and the dryer didn't work (but wasn't marked as out of order). We spent 2 hours and $4 trying to get a load of clothes dry after washing them at a local laundry. The front desk did take them to get them dried and even folded them for us. They also payed back the $4. Overall it was a good stay.

We stopped in Sheridan for a business meeting on the way to a camping/fishing/hiking trip in the area. We stayed here becayse the hotel was the conference hotel and it is dog friendly.
The good:
1. I don't think there are very many great options in Sheridan, so this may very well be one of the better choices
2. Some of the front desk staff were friendly and helpful with a request for a late check out and a late change to stay one extra night.
3. The room was clean
4. They are dog friendly, and we were travleing with our dog. So this was a KEY benefit. There is a large grassy area by the hotel to walk the dog around and play fetch. This was also really nice.
5. They have room service. It is over priced but not THAT overpriced.
6. They have an onsite bar.
7. They have in room coffee, which is a MUST in my opinion. But it was that "single cup" brew system and 2 small dixie cups of coffee is just not enough for me.
8. Free high speed internet.

The Bad:
1. The corridor was being repainted so the room was filled with paint fumes. We had to jerry rig the window to be able to open it and prop open the exterior door to the hallway to air the place out. It seems like the hotel staff would have thought of ventilating the hallway?
2. The tub did not drain.
3. The room was really small. I travel alot for work and stay at a lot f chain hotels. This room was unusally small.
4. The office chair was broken
5. They got very few cable channels
6. The hotel is far from downtown, though it was pretty near the highway exit.
7. The coffee shop was suppoused to open at 9:00, which already seems late for a coffe shop to open, but for some reason no one was there to open it.
8. The staff at the Greenery restaurant were totally unhelpful and not all that friendly
9. The room only had two large bath towels, which is kind of too few for a couple.
