This place was nothing fancy, but was nice enough. Just know that it is Motel style, meaning the door opens to outside, not an internal lobby. The staff was friendly, and there was free breakfast, so I can't complain. The Inn is also pet-friendly, so it's very easy to bring a dog along too.

The Mill Inn is an affordable place to stay that has a sort of charm and history that the competition don't. The staff were friendly and our room was clean. I'm not a big history person, but the mill's story is pretty cool (check out the link from the home page about history, if it is still there). Our room was plenty big and clean. Didn't use any of the amenities so can't speak to them.

Have you ever thought of sleeping in an old flour mill? The Mill Inn is a locally owned place and very clean. Staff is very friendly. Very affordable. Each room is decorated differently. Will definitely be coming back!

That the Mill Inn is the Trip Advisor #1 rated hotel in Sheridan does not bode well for the other 19 Sheridan hotels. It's hard to understand how a hotel with all exterior room doors (the interior elevator leads right back out to the exterior walkway) and canned peaches for breakfast can get so many 5 dot reviews.

The young lady who checked us in was helpful and friendly. She gave us solid recommendations for dinner.

The room was kind of small but even though the location is right on a main road, it was pretty quiet at night. It was also reasonably clean and had functional internet access. Furnishings/fixtures looked pretty worn and used but again, were clean...although there was kind of a weird smell in the room. It smelled vaguely of cigarettes and perfume. We did see people standing outside on the walkway smoking, so this is definitely not a no-smoking facility.

Breakfast was, in our view, nothing to write home about. Yes, they have the ever-popular waffle maker, Fruit Loops, two other generic cereals, and a bowl of canned peaches. I think there was also some generic bread to toast. We decided to pass and went to Starbucks across the street.

What this place has going for it is the price. Our room was about $65. If we had to stay in Sheridan again, I guess we wouldn't eliminate this as an option, but it is definitely not what I'd consider a 4 or 5 star hotel experience.

We spent one night here based on reviews. The lobby was nice and check-in was easy. The front desk people were friendly. We took an elevator to our floor but then had to go outside to get to the room. It was pouring rain and the canopy was not wide enough to keep us dry. The room was very spacious, very clean and very comfortable. It was arranged well and would have been good enough to have spent several nights here. Yes, the place is a bit quirky and maybe we lucked out and got a nicer room but based on what I saw, I would choose to stay here again. I probably would not recommend this room for anyone disabled due to a step down into the room but all the rooms may not have been like ours. I also liked it because there were enough outlets to charge everything at night.

Room Tip: Breakfast seating was crowded and the offerings were basic.

We spent an overnight at the Mill Inn on the way to Yellowstone. We had their family suite at the back of the hotel, which is accessed through a side gate. Very comfortable and quiet with a huge amount of room and excellent value for money. The staff at this hotel are very friendly and helpful. It had the best guest laundry of our whole trip in the US! Breakfast is good. The kids really enjoyed the waffle maker. The decor in reception is wonderful. A very nice, restful place to stay overnight.

A very pleasant place to stay after a long day on the road. The road noise outside the hotel was a little noisy, but that happens in an end room. We found the room clean and tidy, the staff personable and helpful, and had a very nice rest before getting back on the road.
