This was a cool place to stay. The room was nice and comfortable but with an outside entry that was a bit awkward to get to if on second floor. Desk staff wasn't particularly friendly. Nice walking trail in the town along the River. Sheridan is a great town and the Bighorn Mountains are highly underrated.

We're glad you found the Mill Inn to be a "cool place to stay"...and that
"Sheridan is a great town and the Bighorn Mountains are highly underrated".
Safe travels and we apologize if we didn't tell you about our glassed-in
elevator (with a great view of the Bighorn Mountains) to assist those whose
room is on second floor.

We stayed in the condo and it was very clean. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and utensils. There is a full sized fridge and even a garbage disposal. The beds were clean and the furniture was very nice. The twin beds were great for the kids in their room. We were able relax and enjoy our stay. The laundry facility was very convenient.

This hotel was a good stop over on our way north to Little Big Horn. Sheridan is a town full of history and the staff at Mill Inn helped us plan our day visit to optimise the potential for an interesting day.

Breakfast was self dining, but adequate supplies provided by hotel meant we had everything needed for a good healthy breakfast.

Room had fridge and microwave and coffee maker so we were well provided for.

Room Tip: Ask for a ground floor or go for rooms in the main building.

My wife found the Mill Inn on TripAdvisor when I asked her to find me a room on a focused drive from southern Colorado to Washington State. The price was reasonable, the staff friendly and the room was comfortable. What more can you ask. Just one warning, if you are staying there this summer be aware that the Wyoming DOT is working on their freeway exit, #25. You must be very careful at this exit especially if you are arriving after dark.

We're glad asked the question, "What more could you ask for?" Thank you for
alerting future travelers to use caution re. Interstate 90 construction
projects on all exits into Sheridan. We wish you safe travels!

We stayed here one night during a recent road trip. I was pleasantly surprised to find how sparkly clean everything was in this older motel. In addition, the rooms were supplied with the amenities of a large chain.
Pros- Quiet (on backside, second floor where we stayed)
Completely clean
Comfortable queen bed
Price
Cons- Our room had a few steps to go down inside the room. Be sure to check if you can't use steps.
Breakfast wasn't worth going to- per my travel partner. But he likes full breakfasts. just sayin'
Room was small, and the bathroom sink is in the corner of the main room. So if you like privacy when you brush your teeth, etc. Look for another hotel.

For one night, this fit our needs.

The words "Best In The West" were used to advertise the flour produced at the next door mill but might just as readily apply to this hotel. It is not grand or luxurious but just great value for money. Quality comes down to attention to detail and the Mill Inn tries harder than any other we have stayed in (within this price range) to get it right. The rooms are well equipped (small details like the quality of the coffee and toiletries count here), the care taken over making the rooms up, the free wi-fi was excellent and the free breakfast make for a very pleasing stay. It is also easy to find just off Interstate 90 and restaurants and shops abound nearby (Walmart, Albertsons, KMart) - if you are eating try Wyoming's Rib and Chop and Perkins Family Restaurant. Sheridan seems a nice place too.

Room Tip: Ask for ground floor so you don't have to carry cases upstairs.

The slogan on our registered logo is "Best Rest Out West", which is similar
to the former flour mill's registered trademark "Best Out West" flour. We
so appreciate your comment that it "might just as readily apply" to the Mill
Inn. Since "Sheridan seems like a nice place too", we hope you'll return
and stay longer!

It's tough finding a nice clean reasonably priced room when traveling cross country, but Mill Inn fits the bill. Real brewed Starbucks coffee in the room with condiments that you only wish you had in other pricier hotels. The room is nicely appointed, but small. (I would much rather have the smaller sqeaky clean room myself.) Thoughtful staff and a nice breakfast rounds out the experience.
