We loved the Alpenhof. The accommodations are cozy. The breakfast included in the stay is absolutely wonderful. The desk staff is knowledgeable and helpful. We will stay at the Alpenhof again. The only thing that could be improved are the laundry facilities. Having and extra washer and dryer would have been helpful.

We flew in for a overnight trip. Arrived in Jackson Hole at 11:30am on Saturday and did the 14 mile drive to the Alphenoff Lodge in Teton Village.

It is a quaint hotel with old world charm and management to match. We went during the off season, so the rate was very reasonable. They even gave us a free upgrade to a room with a wood burning fireplace; a great amenity if you have never stayed in a room with one. The room also had the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on. There is a nice little lap pool in back, and a nice size whirlpool and sauna. Sam the dog and a couple of his friends were laying around the lobby when we checked in so we got our "doggie fix" when we got there. (We had to board our dog when we went away). Breakfast is served at 7am, unfortunately we had to leave at 6am for our flight the next day, but they packed us a breakfast box to go. 2 bagels, 2 oranges and a couple of cream cheese packets for the road and some fresh coffee was brewing in the lobby.

If you are staying at the Teton village for ski season or for some hiking during the off season, you cannot go wrong staying at this hotel!

Alpenhof Lodge, Teton Village Wyoming is a wonderful place to stay when visiting the ski resort, Grand Teton National Park or Yellowstone. Our second visit to this lodge in two years confirmed the friendly service and comfortable rooms. When you go, make sure you plan time to enjoy the breakfast that is included with your room (only hotel in the Village that includes breakfast). Fresh fruit, the best bacon, freshly cooked eggs, pastries and Trevor. Trevor makes sure you have enough coffee and gives advice on the best places to hike or visit during your stay. He directed us to try a day hike to Phelps Lake where we saw a mother and baby moose. Our room had a fireplace, a nice amenity for cool spring evenings in the mountains. The staff made sure our kindling and log were ready. Only one match was needed to start the fire. And on our final morning, as we prepared to take the 7 am flight to Denver, Sean treated us with, coffee, bagels and fruit to go. Great place to stay!

We received the best service we have ever gotten at any hotel. This is no cookie-cutter, hotel chain at all. From the wonderful breakfast buffet to the friendly dogs lying around in the lobby, it made for a special, unique stay.

My husband and I stayed here with our ski club and we were really surprised at how lovely the facilities were. The charming furnishings, gracious service, breakfast buffet, apres ski happy hour, hot tub, ski equipment storage room, and basement washer/dryer made our ski vacation stress-free. Our only complaint is that the pillowtop mattress was not very restful, but that could be that we don't really like them much. Other than that, we would love to return to the Alpenhof!

This place was great. Upon arrival, the exterior resembles a chalet in the Alps, with giant beams, and stonework - very charming. The reception was warm and inviting. We were upgraded, so that is always nice, and there were homemade cookies set out as we entered the hotel. Little things mean a lot. There is a very convenient secure room for skis, etc. There is even a blond lab who was lying flat on her back for anyone to come on up and pet. The room was immaculate, and had every convenience. The only thing that was not perfect was the wireless internet connection - but, hey we were there to ski!
The hotel is located at the base of the Teton Village ski resort, and very close to the lifts.
We ate several meals at the cafe, as well as the Bistro restaurant. The breakfast was a heart full buffet style and there was polenty of variety. The lunches were also quite good. We had dinner there once (on Super Bowl Sunday) so it was quite lively. The food was authentic schnitzel, and goulash, and it was all delicious. I really have nothing but praise. We own a top rated B&B in Long Island Wine Country, The Stirling House B&B in Greenport, so we set very high standards. The price was reasonable for a resort area so well situated. It might not have the sleek new hotel feel, but that is exactly what we were looking for

This was the fourth year we've spent a week skiing JHMR, and we've always stayed at the Alpenhof. On the plus side, the European/Alpine ambiance is great for this beautiful ski resort. The room rates are probably the lowest of the ski-in, ski-out lodging choices. The location is prime, as the Alpenhof was the first hotel built in Teton Village. The staff has always been so warm and helpful. Everyone always seems to actually really care that their guests are properly cared for. As for improvement, the bathrooms really need to be updated/brought up a level. They're like my grandma's back in the 1970's. Clean, yes, but not special in any way. Also, the breakfast buffet has gone WAY DOWN over the years. The first year we stayed here, we couldn't get over how lucky we were to have such an amazing breakfast included in the price of our room! Each successive year, we've been less and less impressed, and this year, I'd have to say it was a big disappointment. Previously, it was a big part of what kept us coming back to the Alpenhof. Now, I think it might be the thing that motivates me to check out some of the other hotels at the bottom of the mountain. Maybe try something different next year?
