Nice room, great view, can walk to the tram, flavored waters and tea in lobby. Kids loved the hot tub and pool. Only there one night so didn't have a chance to use the spa. On surprise: complimentary wings in the lobby and cookies by the free flavored water.

We just returned from a family trip (mom, dad, 16 yr old son, 14 yr old daughter) and our first stop was Jackson Hole WY and a 3 night stay at the Snake River Lodge and Spa. We had a suite which included a full kitchen, 2 bedrooms, 2 baths and sleeper sofa in the living room. The accommodations were very nice but the location was excellent. Not alot of restaurants around but a couple within walking distance that we enjoyed. The staff was very pleasant. We enjoyed hiking up the ski slopes and took the gondola up to the top (it was still a bit cold and there was still snow on the ground...) We were probably a week early for some of the other lifts to open but we were ok with that. The only negative we found was that if we used dishes and left them in the sink, the cleaning staff did not load them in the dishwasher and run it - we were responsible for that if we wanted clean dishes...

You need to know right up front that you will be charged $25 per room per day for use of the pool, spa, Internet, and "free parking" whether you use them or not. The website seems to imply that this fee is charged IF you use these facilities. With a full schedule, I had no intention of using them. I would happily have paid $25 more for the room. But I was not pleasantly surprised by a mandatory fee.

The hotel is a good 15-20 minutes from Jackson. This seemed ideal at first--quiet, near the mountains, good bike trails--but quickly became an annoyance. There are only a few places to eat and none of them made the children in our group happy. The location of the hotel means it is also 15-20 minutes away from the roads which take you to Teton park and restaurants.

The usual sign about conserving resources was there--hang up towels you don't want to be replaced by housekeeping in order to save laundry. But housekeeping always replaced the towels anyway. So we started putting up the "do not disturb" sign so housekeeping would leave the towels and housekeeping responded by leaving a full sheet of paper explaining why our towels were not replaced. So much for conserving resources. There were, however, plenty of places to recycle and even a recycling bin in the room.

The hotel and rooms are beautiful. But the beautiful bed is not as comfortable as it looks. The beautiful shower was designed for looks, not function. This sums up the hotel--beautiful but not functional.

Room Tip: The eastern wing of the hotel is difficult to access. It also much farther from the lobby and the fr...

We stayed here towards the beginning of a family road trip. The Snake River Lodge set the bar extremely high for the rest of our trip. The setting is amazing and the lodge itself was beautiful. The rooms were very comfortable and our kids loved the pol. Thank you!

Just got back from a way-too-short stay here for a work-related conference.

The good: Excellent location, as it is 12 miles to the town of Jackson to the southeast and just about a half a mile from the park entrance to the north. It sits in a very picturesque setting with lots to do within walking distance. They have everything you want from good hotel. There is even a place within the hotel to rent bikes and other equipment. There is a fantastic, picturesque and easy bike path right outside the parking area that goes on for miles. The hotel is rustic in design but modern in amenities and function. It's actually quite beautiful inside and is warm and inviting. The food is excellent and the breakfast buffet has variety and is all high-quality. I want to make a special mention about Jean at the front desk who was especially sweet and helpful and obviously takes customer service seriously.

The bad: Really hard to say, but a slight inconvenience is that there are a number of workers in the hotel just there for the summer and did not know the answers to many of the questions I had about the local village area or even about the hotel itself. I feel that they could benefit from some additional training. However, they were very good about finding someone who DID know the answer. Again, they seem to understand that customer service here is key.

Room Tip: There are about 16 rooms that are only accessible via a historic elevator (the kind with the folding...

Stayed in June for two nights before the rates really went up. Beautiful location, great swimming pool. Lucked out with great weather. Lobby nice with rustic feel. Standard rooms too small for a family of 4 - no place to tuck away luggage. Bathroom was a nice size and good quality (spa-like). Refreshments included in resort fee were sparse - water in afternoon, coffee and tea in morning, missed the cookies (only provided one plate for entire hotel), had some buffalo wings but no drinks provided. Housekeeping didn't leave new shampoo/conditioner/soap so we had to call to have them bring some up. Seemed a little cheap to not replace those. Need to leave at least four bath towels in a room with two beds. Staff was pretty good though sometimes front desk was understaffed. Overall we would stay again but would consider a slightly larger room.

I checked into the hotel on June 2 for an extended business trip. The front office staff were not friendly at all. I asked for a room with a view and I was given a room looking at a wall. I asked for a new room with a better view and they gave me the room next door. While sitting in the lobby the next morning not one of the hotel staff opened their mouth to say hello. For the price of the room, I expect friendly service. The location is beautiful, the hotel is okay, but the attitude of the staff makes the overall stay not worth the price.
