“Honeymoon in the Tetons”
Reviewed 2 March 2012

The Teton Mountain Lodge does not actually do honeymoons, but the concierge, Becky, was more than happy to put together a nice package for us with champagne and chocolates the first night, hot cocoa with marshmallows the second, and a very nice letter on our arrival. The hotel was also gracious enough to offer us a free meal when we ended up getting stuck in Yellowstone overnight due to weather!
Our Sundance Suite was impressively clean and the bathrooms were gorgeous with all the rough-edged tile. Our only issue was not really the hotel's fault - even on the fifth floor the snow plows woke us up every morning around 5-7am with their beeping and banging around. I don't know how you would get around this other than bringing ear plugs. The food in the Cascade Restaurant was fabulous, even compared with all the other amazing restaurants in the Village. We used our $40 spa credit toward a couples' hot stone massage that was a perfect way to unwind after several days of skiing, and the rest of the spa amenities (steam room, showers, hot tub) were all top notch. The rooftop hot tub is nice if it isn't too windy, not fun getting out when it is. Still a cool place to hang out - with beverages available just inside if you are so inclined.
We had a wonderful experience at Teton Mountain Lodge, and will definitely consider returning here when we are in Jackson Hole.

I stayed in a 2 bedroom condo with my 2 children and wife. The rooms were very cramped in. One of the bathrooms was very small but the fact that there were 3 bathrooms made up for it. We were on the second floor and there were no views. We had a view of the parking lot and if we put our faces to the window we good get a small view of the mountain. My entire family skies and the inconvenience of having a long walk to the lifts is not acceptable. Although it may not seem like a long walk it is hard to do in the snow while carrying skies, poles and wearing ski boots. Even getting our skies from the ski valet was a problem. The men who worked at the ski valet always grabbed the wrong skies despite the room number on them. One of the good parts of the hotel was the restaurant, Cascade. The food was one of the few good aspects of this hotel. I would definitely not recommend this hotel for a winter stay.

Dear Mr. jared5240,
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and impressions of Teton Mountain Lodge & Spa; I’m exceptionally pleased that you were able to enjoy Cascade Restaurant during your recent stay.
However, I am sorry to hear that you felt the walk to the gondola was excessive and that your views were less than ideal here in Teton Village. Additionally, you have provided us with an excellent training opportunity for our Ski Valet services; we missed the mark there and will certainly look to improve those services.
Again, thank you for your valuable feedback.
Warm regards,
Tyler Barker

The staff at Teton Mountain Lodge made every detail of our visit comfortable and relaxing, from the moment we arrived with a car full of luggage and winter sports gear. We stayed in a 5th floor junior suite and fully enjoyed the spacious room, comfy bed, soft robes, soaking tub, shower for 2, spa facilities, massage, rooftop hot tub apres-ski, Cascade restaurant for breakfast and a couple of meals (and the bacon bloody mary of course), the ski valet greeting us each morning with our skis ready to carry a short distance to the Tram or Gondola for absolutely amazing skiing -- steep, deep, varied and wide open. Highly recommended!!

Room Tip: All rooms are likely great, but If you can get a room facing the ski hills, you'll be able to ch...

The Teton Mountain Lodge is a pleasant place to stay, although I consider it pricey even with an offer. What you pay for is the slopeside location during the ski season. You can ski in right next to the hotel and the ski valet will help you with your skis once you get there. It is a fairly level 5 minute walk to the aerial tram (cable car) but a bit further and slightly uphill to the Bridger gondola.

We booked a Sundance Junior suite - a large room with a proper kitchen, a queen sized bed and an additional Murphy bed, which, being only two of us we didn't use. This was fine for the 2 of us, and maybe a family of 2 adults & 2 small children, but would be a cramped for 4 adults with the Murphy bed down.

I liked the good-sized jacuzzi-bath, but the shower over the bath was not really powerful enough.

The kitchen had a big fridge, a full cooker & hob, microwave, toaster, lots of worktop space and a kettle (not always supplied in the US). There were 6 crockery & cutlery place settings, but not many pots & pans or utensils.

A very useful in-room ski-boot dryer was supplied. The large TV only showed US TV channels (no BBC World News or Sky) but ESPN was available. There was also a clock-radio, an MP3/iPod docking station and free in-room WiFi.

Our suite, room 107, was on the ground floor, above the bar, near reception, facing southwards, away from the mountains towards the next building (Inn at Jackson Hole?) but was very quiet and sunny during the day.

The bed was a little too soft for my liking - it could have been firmer, and the aircon/heating was difficult to get the temperature exactly right. The hotel charges extra for some services that given the overall price-tag you might have hoped would be included (use of washing machine & dryer, yoga classes, breakfast). We ate twice in the restaurant & found the food to be very good.

The lobby is impressive as is the ladies changing room in the spa. The hot tub there was hotter, and more to my liking than the lukewarm one by the indoor pool. Both swimming pools are tiny, so not worth using if you are a serious swimmer. The gym looked well equipped, but I didn't use it.

A charge on our bill that should have gone to another room was corrected promptly and removed. The staff were generally pleasant & helpful. Although I have listed some things that could be improved we were very comfortable during our stay and had no major gripes.

Eating out in Teton Village is generally quite pricey - to get better value you need to go into Jackson Hole town (3$ each way on the very regular Start bus service). Alternatively there is a Thai take-away opposite the entrance to the Snake River Lodge that is good value. The two grocery stores in the village are somewhat limited food-wise (very little fresh meat or veg) although both have a fair selection of wine. Albertsons & the Whole Grocer in town (on the bus route) are good sized supermarkets selling everything you could possibly want.

Teton Village and Jackson Hole are both pleasant places to stay - the whole area is beautiful and the ski area is great - plenty for everyone to enjoy bar beginners. If you want a day off from skiing I recommend the winter time whole-day trip to Yellowstone with Triangle C. If you are lucky enough to get a clear sunny day it is magical.

Room Tip: Sundance junior suites apparently have variable kitchen facilities (kitchen vs kitchenette). I state...

Upon arrival we were greeted by a charming bellboy/valet named Brandon. He immediately helped us in with our 15 bags (still smiling!) The lobby and front desk staff were warm and welcoming. The hotel reminded me of the Ritz Carlton in Aspen Highlands. Very similar feeling. We had a 2 bedroom suite. It had 3 full bathrooms (2 had full size jacuzzi tubs) which was very nice to have! It had very updated, high end furnishings. The beds were ultra comfy and the bathrooms were also very nice and well stocked. I like that they use full size shampoo and soaps and refill them as needed. I hate the small size ones...always so hard to get any out! Also pretty green on their part. Nicely done!
Any time we needed anything, the front desk or concierge granted our request without delay. They are top in customer service. That is important to us. Matt, The concierge made many great recommendations and reservations for us. Love him!
The restaurant downstairs was excellent. A broad menu and great service. We ate dinner there a couple times. Breakfast is pricy, but we had a $30 daily credit that made it reasonable.
The eggs benedict were fantastic! They also have a buffet.
One of our favorite features was the huge rooftop jacuzzi. A million stars and mountain views. We took a bottle of wine up and soaked a while. They will also deliver drinks up here upon request. We never got a chance to try the spa, but it looked nice.
The kids took part in a day trip offered by the hotel, it was a fly fishing trip. They had fun. Matt, the concierge also arranged trail rides for them across the street which was great! Wish they could have done more activities.
They have a small convenience shop in the hotel that has juice, soda and snacks. There is a wine shop across the street and they also have sandwiches and snacks. We got pizza at Mangy Moose next door once. Casual and good, nothing fancy.
Overall, we felt very pampered and ended up extending our stay by 3 days! We can't wait to go back to TML to ski. My husband already booked a boys trip for Jan 2012. I am looking into a ski trip as well in Feb 2012! They toally won us over!
You will not be disappointed! I Promise!

Very nicely appointed Lodge with very helpful staff. Top Floor guest room that is warmly decorated with wonderful balcony and view. Meeting Room with excellent "meeting tools" and very good food served buffet style. And when we are done meeting tonight, fresh powder for some and top shelf spa facilities for the rest of us.
