Teton Mountain Lodge & Spa - A Noble House Resort
Ranked #2 of 7 Hotels in Teton Village
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed 23 October 2006

We booked a 4 night stay at $91/night. When we arrived they offered us an upgrade to a suite for $30 more. The suite was really amazing - more like an apartment than a hotel room. It has a full kitchen with granite counters and stainless appliances, a living room with nice western furnishings and a fireplace, a large balconey, a powder room, master bedroom and bath with a whirlpool tub. The views are great from all windows. Teton Village is only 1 mile from an entrance to Grand Teton National Park. Jackson is about 15 minutes away, and of course it's at the Jackson Hole Ski Resort. Granted, we were there in a dead season, but if your goal is to see the wildlife of the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone you couldn't pick a better place or time.

We LOVED this hotel. We stayed there in October and the price of the room ($ 110) was a huge deal. Our room had a Queen size bed and it did not seem small at all (we also had a desk with two chairs, a closet and a large sofa on the room); there also was a small fridge and a coffee maker. The bathroom was perfect (with our own private hot tub!), the towels were high quality as well as the bath robes. Our room was luxurious (the bed had thick sheets and fluffy conforters) and we had an incredible view on the Grand Teton mountain. The staff was very nice. We usually ate at the hotel restaurant; it was perhaps a bit pricey but the food was far better there than the other restaurants we tried on the village (and we had a 10% discount to the restaurant as we were staying on the hotel...). However, the burgers at the bar are not expensive and very tasty. We did not have a chance to book a spa appointment. Perhaps to our next visite (because I will definitively return to this hotel)!

We traveled to Jackson Hole for a conference and chose this hotel because it had the option of eating in. The Lodge is a hybrid of a hotel and a condo complex, but it works. Our room was beautiful, especially the kitchen which we used extensively. The room is really a large hotel room with a kitchen and living room and then at night you pull down a Murphy bed that takes up most of the living room. That worked out fine and the bed was surprisingly comfortable.
A huge complaint was that they advertised high speed Internet. We were unable to get on the network for the first 3 days despite making all sorts of adjustments with the laptop settings, but were able to pick up wireless intermittently from the hotel next door by sitting next to the window. When inquiring at the desk, we were told that the router could only handle about half of the rooms. When Sunday night came and the place cleared out, we had no trouble getting on the network, so that confirmed what we were told.
The Spa facility was terriffic and offered a couples massage in a room with a fireplace that was very nice. The pool and whirlpool were very nice as well.
Downtown Jackson was about 10 miles away and had stores for picking up sourveneirs, warm clothing (it was mostly in the 30's-40's despite it being September), and groceries. Grand Teton National Park was a mile up the road (and Yellowstone about 2 hours away).
Overall, the decoration and facilities were upscale and very nicely done. Unlike other reviewers, we found the front desk staff mostly helpful (except with the Internet but that was beyond their control). We had a beautiful view, but based on other reviews had requested a room with a view when making the reservation.
Also, be aware of added resort fees that were added on at the end without prior warning.
