We stayed in a two bedroom residence in at the Four Seasons Jackson Hole. Overall, it was a wonderful stay...a few minor bumps along the way.
First, the concierge did contact me about 20 days prior to our stay to get excursions booked, which I really appreciated. I felt like the advice was mostly great. The two changes I would have made (and feel the concierge team may want to know) are the following:
They recommended a river float in addition to the white water rafting trip. We have three children 6,8,10 and it got a bit long and boring for them...plus we had to wake them up early to go...so I would skip that. Also, they didn't mention having dinner at Couloir. Friends of ours texted us while on the trip and many people metioned it to us while we were there, so thankfully, we were able to fit it in on the last day. It is at the top of the gondola and simply a highlight of our trip--DO NOT MISS THIS!!
Also, if you are going to do the rodeo and alpine slide-do it all in one day on one trip-they are right next to each other-Id have dinner in-between. we went to the apline slide in the morning and then drove back for the rodea and I wish they would've advised us about this.
Other than that, it was a wonderful trip!!
The hotel is perfectly located at the base of Teton Village. We were thinking of staying at the Amangani, but so thankful we did not. We had lunch there and it is absolutely breath-takingly beautiful, but the location is completely off the beaten path, up a very windy road and nothing to do up there except for swim. At Teton Village, there is so much going on between the rock climbing walls (my kids loved!!), bungee trampoline (again, HUGE hit!!), all the cute restaurants, the outdoor concert area, park/playground area, and if your kids are a little older, the very cool mountain biking trails-where the chairlift is right outside the fourseasons door.
The resort is very nice-very rustic and mountainy. The rooms are nice-id give the rooms a 4.5-star rating. Not as plush as I would prefer, but the rustic look is what they are going for.
The room-service and food was great. We ate in the lobby and the sushi was wonderful.
Overall, Id give the service 4.5 stars...simply because I don't think the service was quite up to Four Seasons standards. Mostly there, but some of the people we encountered (including the roomservice receptionist) were sometimes a little short.
The work-out room was great, and the pool very pretty...not huge, but pretty.
I would highly recommend this resort for its location, and overall service and feel. Just remember you are in the mountains and the resort completely fits that decor.
I would ask for a mountain view...we had a valley view and missed the mountains off our balcony.
Oh, one other thing...I brought heels to wear with sundresses for dinners and you walk across the grass to get to many of the restaurants in the village...and wished Id had wedges or something more practical.
