Had drinks here February this year, with my sister and mother (we have been coming to Jackson every year for the past 7). After a night of drinks my sister picked up the bill, and only had enough cash for a 10% tip. Of course this is on the lower scale of tipping expectations, but the bartenders reaction was abhorrent and out of proportion. He told my sister to 'Go back to where you come from' (we were travelling from Australia) amongst other lines of abuse. For a male to speak to a female in that manner was completely unacceptable, not to mention the fact that he was marginalizing foreigners in a bar that is known somewhat as a tourist attraction. This is not the first time I have seen the staff here treat foreigners with disdain, in Feb 2010 some of my friends had a similar experience. On the plus side the live music here can be great and it is often the only place open later at night, especially mid week. The food is mediocre and overpriced when you consider what you can get at The Spur, which is a short walk away.
