“Extraordinary hotel”
Reviewed 21 August 2014 via mobile

This place was beyond what I expected. The website doesn't do justice to the one bedroom suite we stayed in.

1. The living area is HUGE. The living room, kitchen area, bathrooms are very modern. All the devices (microwave, coffee maker, TV, toilet...yes I said toilet) are quite high tech. The phone and TV are personalized with your name on it.
2. Very quiet rooms. Even though we stayed on the 4th floor above the outdoor pool area, the rooms were well insulated from the outside noise. Plus they shut the pool down at 9:30pm so then it is very quiet.
3. Staff is very attentive. Though I didn't see one staff member over 27, I found them to be very responsible.
4. No charge for valet parking...that is rare these days.
5. Fitness center is clean and modern.
6. Food at Terra Cafe is good, menu is more of European flavor but still pretty good.
7. Only 2 minute drive to entrance of Grand Teton National Park.

1. They are a bit over the top in my opinion on the whole "save the planet, conservation, green energy" agenda in the design of their resort...but so be it.
2. No locks on bathroom doors
3. Quite expensive stay.

Overall this is one of the finer vacation resorts I have ever stayed at and with the background of Grand Teton National Park makes it a winner.

We booked this hotel through Hotwire, so it was a surprise (didn't know what we were booking until we paid). Lovely hotel, and the staff were very nice (when they found out it was our honeymoon they surprised us with a bottle of champagne which was a lovely surprise). The fact that the spa/hot tub closes so early is kind of a pain. I appreciated the thorough attention environmentally friendly options, however when it comes to the shampoo/conditioner, the organic/sustainable stuff they provide is really terrible. My hair felt like it had heavy grease in it after I had showered. Quite gross.

Despite the wonderful service from the staff, I don't think I'd stay here again. It was nice to look at, but did not have as much charm as other places I've stayed.

We were attending a wedding here in August. We reserved a studio room and got one with a slope side view and balcony on the third floor. Unfortunately, the room was cramped, especially when the bed was down. Could hardly move around. Also, had to ask for towels. They had a European type showed with a 1/2 glass door. Part of you always got cold taking a shower. I love having a mountain view and balcony. Unfortunately, the hotel is next to the kids play area that has a water feature. All day long there were children playing and screaming in the water. In the late afternoons there were loud bands playing every day; not able to just sit outside and take in the view and relax! So this place is more for families and not a romantic retreat at least in the summer.

Room Tip: Summer would be NOT facing the slopes unless you want noise. Winter I would imagine aa slope side r...

Hotel Terra is highly acclaimed online. The hotel is gorgeous with nice finishes. Unfortuneatly , the rooms are tiny, almost smaller than NYC hotel rooms.
The hot tub is connected with their spa which unconviently closes at 7pm and does not open until 10am. So for tired travelers, it is not at all convenient! The pool is open from 7 am until 10pm on another floor.
Worst of all we were put in a rear facing room where there was a loud public concert going on.
I complained to the front desk and was told sorry that they could not help me.
I am a food/wine / traveler writer. I will never visit this property again. I strongly suggest AVOID!

Room Tip: AVOID! If you must stay, check your room before accepting.

Stayed here for 6 nights in a 1 bedroom suite. Very nicely furnished, spacious and modern style. We did have to ask to move rooms after the first night. Turned out that our room was right above the kitchen which comes with a mega exhaust fan, as noisy as a jet engine.
Although it took some doing, the very friendly staff ended up finding us a similar room in another part of the building. Much quieter, at least until the tour buses pull up to the hotel in the middle of the night or the dumpster trucks show up at 5am. A bit disappointing that although you are in the mountains, you can't really sleep with your windows open.
Other than that, very nice place, well located, good restaurant and breakfast cafe, and very helpful staff.

Room Tip: Chose a room away from the street (and parking) side, but not too high except if you like the hummin...

We loved this place!! We were there for a skiing vacation and not only the snow it's amazing the hotel its perfect.
Sky in - walk out.
They deliver your sky equipment rentals with couple of companies the suggest.
The have a beautiful jacuzzi on the rooftop and also a warm pool on the 2nd or 3rd level. I liked the warm pool a lot better.
The rooms are very spacious we had a one bedroom with a fireplace and a kitchen. Th bathroom had a jacuzzy and was very spacious. The room was a lot bigger than we thought.
The restaurant downstairs its very convenient and they make great breakfast.

We will be back for sure

Terra is conveniently located in front of the commons area of Teton Village. This means ski in/out in winter and immediate access to the mountain in summer. The staff is very friendly. Rooms have a modern and practical decoration. The Terra Cafe serves great breakfast with organic ingredients and for dinners they have the very good Osteria. It has a nice outdoor pool with a view of the mountain.Terra cares about the environment. Electricity comes from green sources. Some of the construction materials ( eg: room shingles ) come from recycled materials. Net net: a very good experience.
