We ended our week long stay in Teton Village at The Terra. It is a lovely hotel. The beds were comfortable and the room was large enough for the four of us. We also enjoyed our dinner in the hotel restaurant. Since it was the end of our trip - the kids were happy enough to sit in the pool and enjoy the local sites. The trade-off is downtown Jackson was lots of fun to walk to shops and activities. The Terra hotel was more about winding down and enjoying the attention to a "natural" environment. Plus the girls enjoy spending time in an upscale hotel.

After 3 nights in the Hotel Terra, it is one of my new favorite hotels. The service is friendly, attentive, and natural - not at all formal and stiff. The music throughout the hotel (lobby, cafe, etc.) sets the tone (think Death Cab, Modest Mouse, Strokes). The room was spacious with a kitchen, sitting area, 2 bathrooms (it was a 1-bedroom suite with an additional Murphy bed in the sitting area). The decor is earthy, west coast style with some interesting local art. Wherever environmentally conscious choices can be made, they have been intelligently implemented into the hotel. Good spa experience too. Loved this place.

Everything was perfect, we enjoyed our stay so much, it was difficult to leave every morning to visit all of the sites around Jackson. We cannot imagine a more "complete" place to stay, anywhere. My three teenage sons declared this our very best vacation to date. We opted for the "Passport to the Parks" package combined with a two bedroom suite, it was an amazing value and a more amazing suite. We will be back next year.

Exceeded expectations and provided great service...this is what you expect from a property of this caliber. I have no complaints and feel that this proerty is a step above the rest. A real "hole in one".

This hotel has glowing reviews, however, after you pay the hefty nightly charge, all you get is a view of the adjacent building, a snotty staff (not all of them), and a pretentious restaurant. If they weren't so obsessed with saying how great they were, they might spend more time actually improving the quality of the stay for the guests.

Dissapointing at best... I could have stayed in an equivalent room for half the price and none of the attitude.

We stayed in Hotel Terra during our ski trip 3/2009 and it was amazing! Hotel is eco friendly (all in wood stone and metal), very modern and new. Locationy was perfect - 30 second from the ski lift, and you can ski down to the hotel entrance. Our room was very clean, the little breakfast & lunch restaurant - Terra Cafe was serving organic food (fantastic breakfast). Hotel spa was also very good. The girl who was doing my massage was very nice and friendly and told me a lot of interesting things and suggested great places to go to (stores & restaurants). I loved the hot top on a roof. Oh! and the Osteria Restaurant was great. Great hotel & great experience!

I have stayed in the finest hotels in Europe, Asia, the Middle East and North America.
The quality of the service, staff and rooms is unbeatable! From the moment you arrive at the front steps of the TERRA, the young men who greet you (always with a smile) and the young staff at the Reception Desk....you feel not only welcome, but as though you are a special guest. I did not meet the Manager but he must be great as his staff is so warm, accomodating and genuinely helpful! Sarah, the Concierge is wonderful!
The rooms are excellent! While not large, who needs a giant hotel room in a resort? Every amenity is in the room...safe, lighted closet,VERY comfortable beds, crisp linens and the bathroom is AMAZING!! Cupboard and shelf space! Imagine that in a hotel bathroom!
There is a very good breakfast room with delicious, fresh food made to order. The restaurant Osteria is fantastic. The Manager/Host, Albi is the gtreatest as is his staff!! Go to the TERRA and ENJOY!!!
