“Friendly, clean and a great breakfast”
Reviewed 28 May 2014

We always stay here on our trips to this part of Wyoming. The staff is always friendly, and the rooms and areas are clean. They were one of the first to serve biscuits and sausage gravy, in addition to the typical continental breakfast. Better than many restaurants we have stopped at along the road.

There aren't many choices of hotels in Torrington and this is the best option. The property is well kept, the rooms are clean and the staff was friendly. I was there for 4 days and only had hot water the last morning I was there. (One of the water heaters had gone bad.) The breakfast was OK and the manager's happy hour left a lot to be desired. All in all, it's a pretty good place to stay.

Room Tip: Try to get one on the back side of the hotel. Trains run all day and night and you'll hear them...

I was afraid to stay here at first because a review I read said they didn't sleep all night because of the noise from the trains. Our room was on the north side and it was comfortable and very quiet. It was clean and the bed was nice. I would stay there again and recommend it to everyone.

Well kept hotel. Staff was nice. Amenities are top notch for an express. Indoor pool was clean and great for the kids. We liked the snack bars selection. The room had a microwave and a mini fridge. Again an awesome addition for the the price. I read other reviewers post about the train noise, but we didn't hear the train and the hotel was quiet.

I mention noisy due to the train, butthe hotel does provide ear plugs :) Otherwise, it was a clean and comfortable room. Plenty of choices for dinner nearby and not too far from the hospital/clinic we came to visit.

We were pleasantly surprised by the nice hotel. Michael was so nice upon check in, the room was spotless and very large. The pool was great and maintenance man give grandkids pool tubes and inner tubes. The breakfast was good and many choices. Trains didn't seems too bad, we really enjoyed our stay here!!!

Room Tip: We asked for a room on North side since that was recommended and we didn't hear trains at all.

Got to town without a reservation, decided to try this hotel. For the most part it was very nice, like most Holiday Inn Expresses. I was a little taken aback by the $104 price tag for Torrington, WY. They did have a 'Manager's Reception', so if you drink beer, that would be nice. The primary problem wasn't the hotel, it was the train tracks across the highway. Don't get me wrong, I am a hard sleeper and can sleep through trains. What I can't sleep through is the blowing of the train horns. Every train coming through, and there were many, blew their horn repeatedly as they passed the hotel. Seriously, you can't even hear the tv as they pass.

Room Tip: If you stay here, get a room on the north (?) side, opposite the parking lot and train tracks.
