I had the occasion to stay a few nights at YVI, late last summer. We stayed in one of their well appointed cabins, ate two delicious dinners, I strongly recommend their signature dish, "Surf & Turf", an 8oz Flat iron steak with two gigantic shrimp. I mean they were 4oz. or better each. To be enjoyed as well is there free breakfast buffet, available to lodging guests. All the staff and owners were very friendly, and eager to help with directions to numerous attractions in the Cody, WY. area. Last but not least along with the full service rest. there is also full bar, and karoke, 50's, 60's, 70's & 80's, with Big Mike and his sound machine. You can go to Yellowstone Nat. Park with ease, being only 30miles from the East Gate. I highly recomend this stop along your vacation trail. Enjoy the West, the way it should be enjoyed.

Room Tip: Cabins are great, or choose a motel room with beautiful Shoshone river views. RVing, no problem, YV...

These are cute little cabins with great views all around. We ate dinner at the restaurant there it was pretty good. We split the surf and turf dinner. I would recommend just going with a steak. Their steaks are excellent but neither of us care for the shrimp. The veggies tasted like frozen veggie medley not my favorite but the salad bar was good.

We also had breakfast at the hotels restaurant the next morning and it was very good.

Last June we stayed for 2 days on our trip to Yellowstone. We liked the whole feel of the place. The staff and the owners made us feel like family. The rooms were clean. Food was great. Defiantly try the Surf and Turf. We wanted to go horseback riding while they don’t have horses they went out of their way to book a ride for us. Later that evening we sat down at the bar and had a few drinks. We learned more about Yellowstone and the Wyoming culture there than we did the rest of our trip. Really insightful, Ron the owner had us laughing all night. Just when we were getting ready to leave we heard a truly amazing voice. We later came to learn it was Big Mike and the time machine. Karaoke is not on my top ten list but, before I knew it the place was filled up and I was singing. The next morning we ate breakfast and Kyla went out of her way to have us a box lunch made so we could have a picnic in Yellowstone. So we just called and booked a 3 night stay. If you want to get a real feel of Wyoming call Yellowstone Valley Inn.

This was a great stop for us. A good layover location for horse at Stage Coach Valley Ranch across the river from this Inn. Cabin clean and neat. Fall is a good time to stop. Great food at the restaurant. Outstanding free breakfast, one of the best on our trips this fall.

Room Tip: Book early as this is right out side Yellowstone Park on the main hiway.

We stayed in a cabin at Yellowstone Valley Inn and found it to be very convenient to Cody and Yellowstone Park. The breakfast and dinners there were very good! After a day of sightseeing, we enjoyed sharing our adventures with other travelers in the lounge. Good base camp!

Stayed here on Sept 20th and loved it. Everybody is very friendly. The cabin we stayed in was perfect. The room is big and the bathroom is too. The internet was fast. We had dinner there and it was very good. The waitress was very friendly and made sure everything was perfect. The free breakfast buffet was nice. I plan on staying here next time we head to Yellowstone. If you get a chance to stay here you should....you will love it too.
