My husband and I stayed 1 night in this super 8.
It is located next to highway 25, and although Wheatland is in the middle of nowhere, it was an ideal stopover point for a visit to Fort Laramie the next day.
The people at the reception were very welcoming, and they treated us more as family than as a paying guest. We had a room on the first floor and there is no elevator, but we didn't have a problem with that.
The room was big and clean, with 2 comfortable kingsize beds, a refrigerator with a deepfreezer , and a micro-wave and coffee-maker.
The mirror and sink were in the hallway of the room opposite the bathroom.
There is a cute indoor pool downstairs, but we didn't make use of it. We did use the free computer in the business-nook.
For dinner the friendly lady at the reception suggested that we eat at the nearby Big A restaurant , because that was the best restaurant in town.
It's possible that it is the best restaurant of Wheatfield, but we didn't like the food nor the service there very much.
Breakfast at the hotel was OK., and the check out went very smoothly.
We had a very good stay here, and it certainly was value for money!
The check in process went smoothly as I booked on line. Room was decent and beds were comfortable. Everything was clean and in working order. We had a comfortable stay here. The staff was friendly. The breakfast was not spectacular but hot and decent. The check out was quick also. The only thing is that it's kind of in the middle of nowhere. Great for those passing by.
No elevator, trag your bags up stairs. Breakfast fast wanting with out of date yogurt (by two weeks), wet hard cooked eggs. Plastic plates, cups, forks and knifes. The place is clean and tidy with recent updates, but is getting dated with newer properties. Staff was nice and helpfull in all respects. A&W type food next door with lots of trucks parking over night with engines running I guess for their AC and tv.
