“Great Stay at the Sassy Moose this summer”
Reviewed 21 August 2014

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Sassy Moose and I still feel the effects of the homey feel it provided. We were in the River Room which was a bit rustic in its decor but with the most comfortable bed ever!! We even had a visitor outside our bedroom window - a Bull moose about 100 feet away. Every morning breakfast was served which was quite delicious and Natalie, Owner of the B&B would sit with us and share in her love of the area and made you feel quite at home. Her two dogs would visit and that was nice too. the Sassy Moose was about 25-30 minutes away from town of Jackson Hole and it was a wonderful place to stay. The livingroom was nicely done in outdoor decor and the kitchen too. the people staying there were hiking and touring all day so sharing our stories about the area was a great way to start the day.As you left, there was a front porch to sit and hang out in. Id recommend it for those that like a simple homey feel when they go on vacation. Natalie was a gracious and friendly host and knew a lot about the area and enjoyed the area she lived in too.

Room Tip: The River room had a lovely bed. Room is not that large but comfortable. I did not get to see the...

Very attractive décor, not too far from Jackson Hole. Delightfully charming hostess and assistant.
The exterior is not pretentious while the inside is very nicely decorated in the local style. We had the High Country room, which is upstairs and big and private. For summer that would be our first choice, while the downstairs rooms have fireplaces or woodstoves in them.
This area has an infestation of moose, so the posted speed limits are low and you must respect those limits.
Next time we come back here we will reserve as far in advance as possible because this B&B is super.

Room Tip: B&B very quiet inside, A/C good for ventilation and white noise, but quiet outside at night. Th...

I loved the atmosphere of this B & B. I picked it in particular primarily due to the log décor. I loved the feel of truly being in Wyoming. Our hostess, Natalia, was very friendly and the conversation quite interesting. Breakfast each morning was delicious. My friend and I played scrabble a couple of nights with a beautiful view of the Grand Tetons as we were awaiting our next move. We stayed there five nights using it as our home base to go out and explore Jackson, Yosemite, and The Grand Tetons. This was a wonderful experience.

Was one of the Best B&B's I have ever stayed in. Very clean, great breakfast, friendly hostess and great rooms. They had a hot tub in the backyard which was great to dip in once we came back from our hike. Would definitely come back again.

I stayed here for three nights and absolutely loved it. We stayed in the High Country Room, which is the only room on the second floor so a bit more private than the others. Our room wasn't super fancy, but it was clean and very comfortable with pretty views out the windows. The hot tub was very nice and had a couple of tables and chairs around it. It's located slightly away from the inn, so we would see the stars well, but there are some trees blocking it from view of the parking lot.

Natalia was a wonderful host. She cooked and served a delicious hot breakfast each morning, and the menu was slightly different each day. There was always fruit, potatoes, meat, eggs, and a baked good, but the options were always different. She also supplied coffee, yogurt, bread, and a mix of cereals. She was fine with us using the fridge to store wine. Once breakfast was served, she took the time to sit with us and ask what we had planned for the day and make recommendations.

The inn is located about a 10 minute drive from Jackson and just down the road from Teton Village. From this location we were easily able to make day trips to Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone, while still eating dinner in Jackson. The inn is close to the main road to Teton Village, so there was a bit of noise from traffic. I would definitely stay here again and thought the price was fair for the location, breakfast, and comfortable room.

We stayed two nights at the Sassy Moose and were welcomed by a juvenile moose hanging out in the snow just outside the b&b as soon as we arrived! Natalia was a wonderful host, the breakfasts were great - she was able to easily accommodate my gluten intolerance. The room (we had the "River Room") was warm and welcoming with a fantastic gas "wood" stove that heated the room quickly and provided the coziest winter ambiance and we slept great. We also got to enjoy the hot tub outside while it was snowing one of the nights. So fun! We will absolutely return to the Sassy Moose when we go through or visit Jackson again.

I recently stayed at the Sassy Moose Inn and would go back in a heart beat. The accommodations were clean and comfortable, the owner so welcoming and helpful and location couldn't have been better. We only stayed for two nights and really wished we could have been there longer. Don't miss out on this place - it is worth every penny and more! Thanks for a great stay.
