“a touch of class in downtown Hilo”
Reviewed 12 September 2013

Paul and Lois have poured heart and soul into this little gem in downtown Hilo. Airy and cool, it is decorated with genuine Lurline memorabilia from the old days, and a glass chandelier that Lois had to fight for, tooth and nail. The food is absolutely fresh, delicious, and elegantly served, with fish a specialty (bought at dockside early every morning). Breakfast is available all day. There are only three tables, so get there early!

“Quaint and Intimate”
Reviewed 22 May 2013 via mobile

After being greeted and served by the owner, Paul...we had a delicious and fresh Eggs Benedict and Belgium Waffle. We were splitting both, and Paul anticipated that we didnt want both at the same time...he was right on! He was delightful and friendly with his service, singing as he prepared our meal. I will definitely be back!!

“Good food with good service”
Reviewed 2 April 2013

Very good Greek Salad. It's the first time in my life that I find strawberries in my Greek salad, but the salad was good and well seasoned.
My spouse had Mahi Over Angel Hair Pasta and it was very good as well.
The Baklava was good, so was the ice cream.
Service was good and friendly.

“Fresh, Friendly, Fabulous and Great Prices for all of that!”
Reviewed 18 March 2013

The best eggs benedict I have ever had. I watched the girls being all of the fresh ingredients from the farmers market. Incredibly fresh, full of flavor, the fish bowl sold out and Paul did all the cooking for each individual order in a single pan with an open kitchen area to watch all the TLC he put into every dish. Outstanding!

“what a find!!”
Reviewed 21 September 2012

WOW! First off Paul, the namesake chef, host, waiter, everything was the most welcoming experience I've had in a restaurant in a long while. The space, layout, decor, its just awesome and you totally feel like it's YOURS and that you really are appreciated. Then, the food, simply outstanding in its freshness, promptness, presentation, everything. My favorite eggs benedict was handled so well by Chef Paul, the perfectly poached eggs popping open to evenly spread a gorgeous healthy yellow/orange yolk over the fresh as fresh can be local tomato, lettuce and thick ham slice. The muffin foundation for it all super soft; the 'proprietary' sauce on top a nice slight diversion from a standard Hollandaise.

Overall i just can't recommend it enough!
