“Outstanding restaurant! What a treasure”
Reviewed 1 August 2014

What a joy to have found this restaurant. It is small but roomy and certainly not crowded, the staff are attentive but not pushy and the food is excellent with a good portion size. The large glass windows look out to large, lush, exotic and tropical plants. How wonderful is it to see large bananas growing naturally and listen to the romantic Honokaa rain gently falling on the roof. There is a small area in the front that contains several types of bread, cheese and wine that are perfect for packing with you if you want to drive to the Kalopa State Park for a picnic in the rainforest too. Love this place!!!

“Nice spot but the food and service were just ok”
Reviewed 10 July 2014 via mobile

We stopped here for lunch after a trip to Waipi'o valley. There were only 2 tables being served but even so the service was a bit disjointed.... One if us ordered the home made lemonade and asked for it multiple times. Half way through our meal, they told us they were out if lemons.

The burger was good and the sweet potato salad and lemongrass coconut soup were both yummy. The fish tacos were fried fish with only a little fish. Overall satisfying but probably could find a better choice for lunch

“Finally! Fine Dining in Honokaa!”
Reviewed 22 June 2014

I have lived in Honokaa since 1999 and have dreamed of having a restaurant like this I can walk to. My dream came true. Excellent food and people who care to serve local, organic and make it delicious! The fish is always fresh, the beef is local grass fed and the gluten free options are fantastic. Wonderful beers and divine wines :) Can't wait to go back again.

“Just ate here this week-end”
Reviewed 28 May 2014

On of the best Lemon Tarts anywhere. The beet salad was amazing. Recently opened this Cafe offers organic, vegan and 95% local. Not a easy thing to do in Hawaii. I own Waipio Wayside B&B and send al of my clients here. If you love food this has got to be the top of the list in Honokaa. I'll be going back for dinner soon.

“Great Organic and Gluten Free Dishes.......Delicious and Friendly!”
Reviewed 7 May 2014

This cafe and market just opened a few weeks ago. It is great! The flavor of dishes is superb! I had Ia Dashi Bowl which included Oni, grilled bok choy, jasmine rice with a light tomato based sauce. Awesome! My husband had the Vegan Pot Pie Dinner which was also gluten free. It was also delicious! We initially shared a mixed green salad, which was big enough for the both of us and was served with an avacado dressing. Soooo good! The atmosphere was comfortable. There is an organic market in the front and the cafe is in the back. Service was very friendly. The chef even came out and introduced himself. Too bad this cafe is 5010 miles away! I would eat here often!
