Out exploring on our first day on the Big Island we stumbled on Kona Joes. One of our best discoveries ! Great view driving down to the plantation and a wonderful surprise on our arrival. Great tasting room...really nice staff that answered all of our questions and a great little store with decent prices.Worthwhile stop and we were not in ANY rush to leave...Nice story about how the plantation started...
We we got home our nephew asked if we saw Kona Joes on our trip,he had read a story about the place, we were surprised he knew of the place and we were very happy to tell him that YES we did stop there !

My wife and I discovered this coffee plantation in 2007 and faithfully make a pilgrimage back every year. This is the best Kona coffee we've tasted, and we love the concept of Trellis grown coffee.

Judi was great and all of her information was very informative! There is a fee if you want the guided tour, but you can explore on your own for free. They do everything on their own, from growing the cherries, to peeling and roasting and even packaging right on the spot!

We really enjoyed this place but our friends I think got bored. It's a neat place especially if you are a coffee drinker like me. We enjoyed the tour and seeing how coffee could be grown on wires instead of just on a bush. The equipment for processing and the story about the place was really neat. Out guide did a great job and we learned many things about coffee. Nice stop and we got a coffee mug at the end of our tour.
