“Kayak and Snorkeling”
Reviewed 18 June 2014 via mobile

Unbelievable time! Staff is all friendly, knowledgable, eager to help those of us not from here! Fantastic kayak across Kealakekua Bay to Captain Cook Monument. Nice mix of kayaking, history, friendly conversation made this an unforgettable day! From Grandma in her 70's to Mom and Dad in their 50's to kids from 16-26, this was an awesome day. We will come back to these guys! And snorkeling the bay is unbeatable. Great day!!

“Outrigger Canoe Paddle Trip with Kai! Excellent”
Reviewed 13 June 2014

A group of friends visiting from Hawaii decided it would be a fun group activity. Being a "semi-local" paddler with prior experience, I wasn't sure how well this would go...our group of 40+ men/women had zero experience (with a fear of the water) to experienced paddler. Well, I have to say we had an AMAZING trip. Kai (our guide) was extremely knowledgeable about the area and activity and after a few quick tips on paddling, we were on our way. We spent an hour around the Bay area paddling and stopping to enjoy the sights and get some more local information on the history of the area. Everyone enjoyed the trip and I would highly recommend it to anyone of any age or experience level.

“Beautiful scenery, Great snorkeling”
Reviewed 10 June 2014

We took the midday meander with Chad. We kayaked and snorkeled in the Kaelakekua Bay and it was one of our favorite activities while on the Big Island. Chad was extremely knowledgeable about the history of Hawaii. He was an excellent guide while on the kayaks and in the water snorkeling. While kayaking, we saw numerous schools of dolphins and even spinner dolphins jumping around having a good old time. While snorkeling, Chad did an awesome job of guiding us and pointing out the various fish, eel, star fish, etc. At first we were afraid that the weather wouldn't cooperate since we were going out in the afternoon, but it turned out perfect. The sun was out and we had a fabulous time.

“Beautiful morning of kayaking and snorkeling”
Reviewed 7 June 2014

We highly recommend Kona Boys for kayaking and snorkeling. My husband went on the 1/2 morning trip and were lucky enough to get Chad as our guide - and we had him all to ourselves! He was very knowledgeable, friendly, professional and fun! It was my first time snorkeling and Chad was very patient with me. The snorkeling at the Captain Cook monument was unbelievable! When we come back to Kona, we will come back to Kona Boys!
