Every now and then one stays in a very special place. Hosts Bill and Antoinette made this a great stay. Before we arrived they mailed us dozens of brochures and activities so we could plan our stay.

The cottage is equipped with everything one could imagine- full kitchen, large capacity front loading washer/dryer, porch, 2 bedrooms, toiletries.

During our stay, Aintoinette cleaned the dishes and even folded clothing that we put into the laundry. We didn't expect that.

Each morning the refrigerator was well-stocked with more food than one could eat for breakfast - juices, sausages, eggs. Each day there was fresh fruit, croisants or muffins, a quiche one day, etc.

The setting for the hot-tub is fantastic. It's very relaxing.

The location is quiet and serene. It is close to the entrance of Volcanos National Park. There isn't much in the town of Volcano - a coupld of restaurants.

The cottage itself is beautiful - and the setting ideal. Please note that this THE PLACE to stay to visit the National Park or just to get away from things. It's not close to a beach - but one can drive to one. The closest city is Hilo - about 45 minutes away.

My husband and I just returned from the Big Island a few days ago. We stayed in the Volcano Teapot Cottage for for our first 3 days and used it as a base to explore Hilo and Volcano National Park. . We so enjoyed our time in this beautiful cottage. It was a lovely place to return to after a day out. It was very exciting to see what wonderful food were left for our breakfasts: homemade banana nut bread, quiches, croissants, etc. The hot tub, in its own private building, was very welcoming and romantic. Every detail has been thought of to make a stay here as cozy and inviting as possible. Everything from plush robes, a fireplace, wonderfully soft sheets, board games, restaurant menus, along with maps and suggestions of the area. Bill was incredibly nice and helpful and apart from a quick stop to say hello and make sure everything was ok we never saw either of them. My husband and I have already talked of visiting another of the islands but coming back to the Teapot for a few days because it was so wonderful. It was our favorite part of our trip!

What a lovely place to stay while seeing the Volcano area on the Big Island. So much detail was put into every room inside along with beautiful surroundings outside. We looked forward to coming back to the cottage each evening and soaking in the hot tub, along with seeing what was left for us for breakfast the next day!! Wish we could take this place home with us. We can't say enough wonderful things about it. So quiet & peaceful and you will definitely have a good nights sleep on the bed - talk about being in heaven.

The owners, Antoinette & Bill have thought of just about everything to make your stay as nice as possible. We felt more like we were at home than at a rental property. The cottage is tucked away on a quiet street in Volcano Village and is set back from the road, affording total peace and quiet. It is well stocked with breakfast food items and more brands of coffee available than you could use in a week! The hot tub was an added plus. If we visit the Big Island again, we will definitely stay here and will also recommend this establishment to any family or friends planning a Big Island vacation.

We booked this cottage for two nights and was so impressed by the accommodations and service of the owners I would recommend it to everyone who is traveling to the area. We felt like it really was home away from home. The hot tub was stunning! The landscape was fabulous, you could just sit outside and really feel at peace. This was our first time to the Hawaiian islands and we will definitely be back, it has become a part of us. We were so happy to have found the Teapot Cottage and really couldn't imagine staying anywhere else on the island. The food the owners left for us was so delicious and fresh, they even stocked some vegetarian food for my husband which was a huge deal. My title says it all...it was ABSOLUTELY THE BEST!! Two thumbs up around the world! Written by Michelle Moore wife to Reece71

We spent 3 nights at the Teapot in early April and wished we had time to stay a few more days. From booking to check out, Bill and Antoinette provided everything we needed for a perfect stay. Unlike most B&B's we've stayed at, this was a unique experience with a maximum of 2 people to enjoy the cottage and its +2 acres of privacy.

The cottage itself is charming and quaint, with obvious attention to details and maintenance by the owners. Bill's talent as a craftsman is clearly evident as expansions and upgrades flow seamlessly with the original design. Antoinette's passion for all things tea related add warmth and charm throughout the property. She also seems to have a talent for selecting some of the softest towels and linens we have ever used (and better than most +4 star hotels!). The cottage was spotlessly clean and fresh upon arrival, with a refrigerator stocked for the basic morning needs.
Bill and Antoinette are the perfect hosts, striking the right balance between friendliness and unobtrusiveness.

The property is almost a magical place, exuding serenity in the rainforest. The hot tub area is utterly romantic, secluded within a separate A-frame structure that is complete with skylights. As with the cottage, it's the attention to little details (like the faux window at the end of the A-frame) that make it feel so special.

As for location, the Teapot is the perfect place to stay if you want to explore Volcano National Park. It's about 1 mile to the park entrance and about 20 minutes from the main lava viewing area near Kalapana.

The bottom line is that we wouldn't stay anywhere else when visiting this part of the Big Island and we hope to return again soon!!

We were honeymooning from Australia staying 2 nights and we just loved this place. Everything was so organised and breakfast supplies were endless. Wish we could have stayed longer, but would recommend this to anyone who would like to stay close to Volcano National Park. Was also nice to meet the owner Bill before we departed! We would love to come back one day.
