“SUCH a great experience!”

My 10 year old daughter did 'the Encounter' experience at the Dolphin Quest at the Hilton Waikoloa Village and it was outstanding. She and one other person were the only ones in her group that spoke English and she was impressed that the trainers described everything in both English and Japanese. There were only five people in her group and it allowed for ample opportunity to interact with the dolphins. There is a cute little gift shop as well that allows you to purchase photos from the encounter, Tshirts, jewelry, etc. Everyone was very nice. Would definitely recommend, even though the price is a bit steep.

“An incredible experience!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 August 2014

We reserved Encounter Deluxe spots for my husband and two children: 6 and 9 year olds. They had the time of their life. All I could see while taking pictures was smiles and bright eyes. I was allowed to take pictures from behind the fence (not too far away) although they do want you to purchase their pictures/movie. They spent a little time talking at the waters edge, but then most of the time in the water. 30% of the time in water was in the shallow section touching and learning about the dolphin. The rest of the water time was spent in the deep section swimming with and learning hand instructions to give the dolphin. This is an expensive activity, but where else can you do something like this??? We used the entire time allotted, and then some. You do need to check in early, and leave time to walk from the parking lot (pay parking) to the Dolphin building (about 10-15 min walk if the train blocks your path). Located on the grounds of the Hilton Waikoloa Village hotel. Spend the rest of the afternoon at the Hilton beach area, it's very nice.

“Great fun for kids, but only 20-25 mins. actually in water”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 August 2014 via mobile

Very expensive considering the first hour is just educational talk with the staff. Only 20-25 mins. in the water. But still a very unique experience to be able to kiss and pet a dolphin in shallow water. Great for kids who are not ready to snorkel in the ocean but want to touch a dolphin.

“So much fun!”

My husband and I received the Dolphin Quest experience as a gift from family for our anniversary. We had such a great time! Christy took us to the lagoon and pointed out beautiful fish. She was so knowledgeable! We got to observe the black tipped reef sharks they have in a separate area, as well. After snorkeling in the lagoon for an hour, we went to the dolphin part. We had a great time petting the dolphins, taking pictures with them, and doing tricks with them. We felt safe the entire time and loved every minute of it!
