Stayed here for a conference so the rate was unbeatable. The room had a balcony and tea and coffee making facility so we were able to have a leisurely breakfast in room. The rooms are not super modern but are clean and comfortable and quiet. The gym and the pools are great. Look for the special offers for the restaurant and bar - daily offer, they save you quiet a bit. The bar food is good, we ate on 50% off main course, and another day in the restaurant when the had an offer of second main course for free. There's a different martini on offer each day too - watch out they are strong! There are spectacular sunset views to be had from the bar. The kings shops and Queens market are walking distance and handy to get bits and pieces and momentos...

Whoever you are, business person, family, couples, singles...you will love the atmosphere here. Temperatures are perfect year-round (70-84 F). The Beach along the Bay flows out to the sea with every all type of water sport available. Multiple pools, entertainment that showcases Hawaiian culture from roasting a pig to the hula, are all possibilities. 2 shopping complexes just across and down the street. Lots of other activities available from the reservation desk, including flights over volcanoes and swimming with Manta Rays in the Pacific. What's not to like about this very enchanting place.

Room Tip: Many of the rooms have a view of the Bay which opens out to the sea.

While the location and setting are great, the rooms are very tired and shabby. We stayed in a deluxe corner room. The room was spacious but it looked deserted- large bed, tv stand and dilapidated couch. Really, the Marriott management needs to spend a bit of money here. The desk clerk told me that the hotel has been for sale for 3 years and they don't want to spend money updating, although they might get new beds and bed linens. It needs help. That being said, the beach is good and the staff are friendly.

Everything nice as usual, but Anaehoomalu Bay beach is perfect. They have Ocean Sports Activities Desk. Kayaking, snorkeling, paddle boarding, surfing, sunset cruises. A lot of beach activities right on the bay.

Coming up from Kona, we were amazed at the difference in atmosphere and luxury. We would have been better served staying here the entire trip and daytripping to Kailua-Kona. The open air atmosphere is very relaxing. Multiple pools and spas, we especially enjoyed the infiniti pool. Short walk along a path over lava rocks to lounge on the beach and swim in the gentle cove. The breakfast buffet was amazing with made-to-order omelettes; include this as an option with your reservation as the individual price is $30/pp. Our room was comfortable, clean and well-maintained. The staff here were very pleasant and helpful. We can't wait to come again!

Recently spent a week at the Marriott here and only have kudos for the stay. Staff was
good and friendly, room was clean and up to par as is usually the case in a Marriott hotel.
Very open lobby and dining area along with a large bar where they have a bar menu
which was enjoyable and a pleasant atmosphere to eat.. Grounds were kept up
and every day there were workers keeping the place attractive. One thing to keep in mind
is that this is not Maui or Oahu so this Island is more for relaxation rather than tourist
attractions.

Room Tip: Ocean view or ocean front, high up. Fifth or Sixth floor.

This hotel is very beautiful, easy to navigate. Three of my favorite things include the location (walking distance to two malls and a lot of restaurants), 24/7 pools, and 24/7 workout facilities. You are welcomed with the best tasting Mai Tai in Hawaii! The gift shops has a large variety of souvenirs, toiletries, and snacks.

Rooms are nicely appointed, but one thing to note is that they have older tubs (like most places on the island). There aren't any walk-in showers or jacuzzi tubs. I did think the pillows were too soft.

The staff is very friendly and the beach is more calm here.

I don't want to repeat what others have said, but I really liked this hotel.
